But isn't that what the APN fix is for. I mean it flashes a line or command that would change it. Maybe I'm wrong. Thanks.
The apn fix is for Data (4g/LTE and 3g) The app its self isn't affected by the fix. Before the APN fix you could still call and receive txt messages. Sending them dosnt work tough. I have looked for a fix but cant find any, Textra is still good, and im not missing the default app that much.

I prefer using Textra also, so I never noticed anything :) It's one of the first things I install because it actually works with all features including group messaging (some other apps don't do group messaging well at all).

Hi guys, Virgin Mobile user here. I've searched through this thread to see if there was a solution to the Vibration issue, but I have not found any answers. My issue is that I am able to have vibration features work just fine on a very old build (cm-12-20141208-UNOFFICIAL) but if I flash any of the newer Official NIGHTLY builds, all the vibrations features do not seem to work.

I have tried flashing several different kinds of NIGHTLY versions (Jan-March 2015) and they all replicate the non-existant vibration issue.

VM user here too, vibration works just fine for me on latest nightlies. Try flashing with a different recovery and make sure your wiping everything.

hello, I've some questions :
1- is my phone (816w) supported and both SIM slots work?
2- if I install CM12 on my phone, how mush does left (assume only gapps are installed)?
3- how is the ram consumption ?
4- can some nice guy here do a video tutorial of how to unlock, root, and download CM12 ?

Any one try xposed yet,I can't seem too get it to work, and yes I read install instruction???
Yes, but it's not worth it. Only a few modules work. The really good modules require an update which we can't do as of now, so I'd suggest you wait for a beta or final release.

1. Please read before installing or posting
Dualsim variants (a5dwg, a5dug) are supported, but not fully functional. It's not possible to make calls if you selected 2G as preferred network mode. This is a known issue so please do not post any report about that! I would suggest you to only use one sim card with the dualsim variants.

2. About 4 gigabytes

3.pretty good. I personally average with at least 700 mb of free ram

4. How to root and unlock boot loader: http://youtu.be/vhUBLhdgSPU

How to install cm12: http://youtu.be/EfUPlrGHSiQ PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU FLASH ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

The default messing app doesn't work anyway. You can receive messages, you just can't push the send button. I use handouts because of it's integration with gvoice and sms, but most, if not all third party SMS apps work without the APN fix.

Anyone know how to fix the issue with the stock messaging app that won't allow you to send messages? (VM) I know you can access APN settings by going to Google hangouts and going into the settings and accessing it under SMS. I've been using textra

Also are there any fixes to the "unfortunately, Music has stopped" issue?

There's not fix for the stock messaging app. Any other third party app works though. If you want the stock messaging experience, download Google messenger. I haven't experienced a music error, but you might want to wipe the cache, or just use Google play music.

Settings give FC

After the 03-08 nightly I get a settings FC right after boot/reboot - happens consistently. But, after that settings etc. open and work normally. Anyone sees that -or- any fix?
Cheers!

Same thing (Virgin Mobile model here).
If you check the changelog (click the date on the update) you will see that there was part 1/3 implementation of "CmHardwareService" which is also added into the settings app... most likely this is the culprit. Give it some time for the next nightly or two to fully implement/fix it and I'm sure it will get ironed out.
I didn't take this update yet, as I will usually wait for 2 or 3 nightlies before flashing the newest one.
You could always restore back to the previous nightly you still have saved on the phone if its an issue for you.
Edit: just for reference I am on 3-7 nightly and have no issues whatsoever with anything so far.

Gotcha, thanks! It's no biggie and not something I'm really worried about.

Thanks for the info. It is not a big deal as such.
To ask a flashoholic to wait 2-3 days before flashing a nightly is like asking a kid to wait 3 days before opening his birthday gifts :) just kidding....
