Can somebody explain why with the today's update it writes powered by Microsoft and the icon of windows mobile is at the left up corner?

Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Free mobile app
Microsoft apparently had behind the scenes dealings with Cyanogen Inc. CM will be including Microsoft apps in future builds.

Dirty flash over 12.0 boot OK but android.phone kept crashing and I had no cellular service.
Clean flash of ROM and gapps minimal: all good so far. Setup wizard OK, and restore pushed all my apps etc.

New thing: I can now move any app to sdcard: 1.3 GB free instead of 450mb before :)
Thanks Grarak and everyone.

I do see Windows Live in the accounts section, but it doesn't work (typical MS :) )

So far the touchscreen issue I have still remains. Newest build didn't resolve this. I flashed onto my 816x single sim Asia. So far every cm build I flash on here gives me touchscreen issues.
After set up I get random touchscreen issues. Such as hard to swipe, have to touch more than once on icons to open items. Texting is hectic.
I have used twrp 2.8.4.0 and cwm 4.0.5.1

Installed the latest build of CM 12.1 today and everything looks good. It is responsive, and I've only found 1 error so far; if I click on the Profile in user settings it flashes and says it does not exist. Also, LTE is working fine for me and I have no problems with it. I flashed the VMU APN fix before I even launched the rom for the first time. And, I don't know if this was a past problem but it would appear I am able to put most of my apps onto my SD card; whereas, before I could only put so many. Keep up the good work. Hopefully it becomes official in the future.

You have to create your profile or user. I had to do the samething.
