Uh. The ROM has nothing to do with your recovery. If your backup fails to restore, its not PA. Sounds like your battery died.

Drop the attitude and stop blaming others for your problems.

Not trying to talk ****, as I did post the proper way to flash the ROM, but I followed the G+ post instructions and I have had zero issues. I miss double tap to sleep, but I'll get over it.

READ ALL THE THINGS BEFORE FLASHING.

Seriously, if you can't look first before modifying your device, then you should not be modifying it at all.

Give me one good reason you didn't get the OP edited when you knew this was an issue? Should I spoonfeed you all the reasons you should have? Get off your pedestal.

If you've been flashing ROMs regularly, you would have known that there was a firmware update by CM which needed to be flashed for lollipop ROMs to work. I'm sorry, but you're arguing for no reason and spamming the thread. Please stop.

Thanks man!! I thought it was only for the cap buttons, but it worked with then on screen nav button too. I should have been clear as I meant DT2S in the status bar, but this is great. Thanks again for the heads up!

Calm down mate. I hope your device is up and running now.
Honestly, I am very new to bacon, but even I could figure it out about the firmware details.

Instead of being mad, you could help some other person.
I do not think that it is a big task to search and read the thread, you were flashing a different version after all.

Having massive network drops whenever i switch on Wifi. Tried with both AK and Franco Kernel.

Any suggestions?

Additionally, what if I wanna go back to stock Kitkat? Can I just flash the Nandroid backup via TWRP or do I gotta flash the stock ROM first?

I tried to install the rom but I got an error! I'm coming from Cm12 nightlies and I've done wipe. But this was not only my issue! After that I installed cm12 but I couldn't install pagapps! And at end I installed bpears gApps. Now I'm back to cm12 but I want to give PA a try. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Try below.

1. Clean flash the latest CM12 nightly. There were some baseband updates on 9th Feb (I guess).
2. After point No. 1, clean flash PA and run it on stock kernel and see.
3. You should not face any issues.

If you still see issues, report on the bug tracker thread and search how you can restore KK ROM back. You can't jus restore a Nandriod. You will need CM11S firmware.

Any chance I can simply flash the Baseband from the latest CM12 Nightly?

    Installation Instructions
    1. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME FLASHING A 5.x BUILD, You must flash CM12 nightly first to prevent bootloops and sensor issues
    2. You must have a custom recovery installed.
    3. Wipe your device (factory reset in recovery is plenty)
    4. Flash CM12 nightly zip
    5. Flash the 5.x ROM zip
    6. Flash the GAPPS. (Optional but recommended)
    7. Enjoy

After falling in love with PA on my Nexus 5, I'm glad its already available for the OPO. I was notified about winning an invite earlier today and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

As far as the actual rom itself, is the build stable on the OPO as it is on the Nexus 5 or will it still take some work?

Not only as stable as CM is, it includes all device specific features of CM like offscreen gestures, Quickboot, Soft/hard buttons...

Is it better to flash the 4.44 version or 4.45 ? I couldn't find the changelog on the Google plus page ? @SferaDev
Latest version is usually the best :)

By the way, I have an unofficial test with updated gestures.

    Changes:
    - Added CMs proximity sensor check
    - Updated Camera gesture (With the proximity sensor it won't take pocket pictures)
    - Lightbulb continues as it was previously.
    - Some other misc fixes

Those will be included in next weekly but you can test them today. See you!
