Hey there, after installing the rom i can't get my pc to recognise the nexus 9. Any idea why?
Also the lower dpi seems to cause issues with chrome. New tabs aren't shown properly.
And supersuser seems to be broken or at least for me.

I think so. Got boot loop with stock kernel and was fine with Fire-ice without encryption.

This uses stock kernel so yeah it will force encryption. Flash o custom rom with no forced encryption if you don't want to encrypt.

I'm wondering if the SELinux ROM-kernel discrepancy will cause a bootloop..

This ROM definitely works with Elemental X.

I want to jump ship and go the Slim/Elemetalx route without wiping my data, so wondering about encryption.

I did the same thing as you want to and encryption is off. Slim-LP and ElementalX is running great.

As long as you flash a custom kernel that doesn't force encryption you will be fine. But if you don't flash a custom kernel with the rom you will be forced to encrypt the device.

No need for prop blobs for building at the moment they are on a vendor partition and don't get wiped.
