I had to flash in recovery again to regain root. Also go into developer options and be sure to choose to enable root to apps and adb

Got it, thanks. Working great.

So, anyone else have issues with Chrome? Mine says a critical piece of functionality missing in order to run. Tried clearing data, and other usual suspects. Also, Google now/ search doesn't work when on the slim launcher, but does on the google now launcher. Came from a fresh install, wiping to factory, using the full gapps package from the post a few posts ago. Thanks

I am using different gapps (not the 64bit version) and I am not experiencing any of those issues. I also use chrome beta...try a fresh install first and see how if you have the same issues. If you do I would go back to regular gapps from the slim website.

Same issue for chrome. I reported it to Dankoman. For chrome is a arm64 available. http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/chrome/chrome-40-0-2214-109-nexus-9-android-apk-download/
I removed the one installed en installed this version. No problem anymore.

hi guys, looking to flash this on my N9 as I've been with slim roms since galaxy s days.
a few questions:

1. i'm coming from stock Nexus 9 5.0 encrypted with stock everything except unlocked and rooted. What steps should I take to install this with disabled encryption? Install SlimLP then a custom kernel? or install custom kernel first then slimLP?

2. does this rom have the wifi verification like stock 5.0 did? I'm in China and since google is blocked, it's a HUGE pain to get the tablet to even get booted into systems without the ability to stop wifi verification first.

1. The ROM will write it's own kernel so if you want to use a custom kernel, you always have to flash the ROM then the custom kernel.

2. Sorry, not sure what wifi verification is.

1. Flash the ROM then the kernel, then perform a factory reset, then flash GApps. The factory reset is what sets the no encryption once a non encrypted kernel is present.

2. I also have no clue what Wi-Fi verification is, sorry..

i think it allows you to skip this step and boot up without a connection

Hey @Flinny
I saw the latest gerrit commits and you guys are crazy busy with Slim, thats awesome!! Just wanted to ask two little things:
Will there be a "new" testbuild for N9 soon or is being patient for official builds the way to go for now? :)
And the second question, is or will SlimLP support(ing) the NTFS file system? (would be awesome^^)

Try going to androidfilehost.com and typing in Flounder for search. That's usually how I find new Roms. And not all of them posted to XDA. ;)

You could search in the slimroms development thread.. That's how I found it. Gonna try his build tomorrow.

Holy cow there are a slew of ROMs out there. I had no clue Multi-ROM was out for flounder. You'd think these people would post in XDA .......

Great idea, thanks!

google cards app

Does anyone else have some kind of network connectivity error on the google cards app/widget? Also, when listening to music or YouTube, does your volume randomly change? Mine does and does so without bringing up the volume pop-up. When I press the buttons to turn it down, the slider has moved by itself to the new louder or softer volume. Outside of that, alpha 0.3 is working great.

Well, for some reason, the connectivity error is gone. No idea why.

Is it possible to disable Slim Recent and use the card stack? I'm on @Yank555's newest build. Fairly new to Slim, was using PA until One+ poached 95% of their devs
