Increasing Volume-Warning

Hello guys,

Maybe I didn't found it, if so: excuse me! (Build: 03/04/2015, GT-i9505)

This post is about the warning for increasing the sound volume above the default setting... "Would you really like to increase..." bla bla.
Is there an option to deactivate this option? Because, everytime I restart my GT-i9505 and turn on some volume, this message appears.

Cheers from germany :)

I switched from this rom to Antares 12.1 Rom yesterday, but when I was on 5.0.2 Xposed worked as expected for me. I know that you are an experienced user, but did you try to redownload xposed-arm-20150308.zip ? Maybe something went wrong when downloading/flashing.
I can confirm that xposed worked for me on this rom. :)

Blank screen on call

Was resolved the black screen bug when we receive a call?

Hi, first of great ROM.
I am also experiencing this issue. I receive a call and the screen stays blank even though I hear the phone ringing. This is from a dirty flash to the current version (not sure if this issue was present before TBH). Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?
I have been doing some reading an didn't see anything in the thread so far (but I have not been able to read from cover to cover - I am new to the S4). Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

i can try re-download by I checked the md5 sums and they are the same :( not sure why it is not doing anything for me ... I also checked the files the zip installer is pushing to root folders and I have all the files with the right permisions everywhere ... finally i dont bother too much - will flash 5.1 soon so I will try over there :)

@AntaresOne
hi buddy - can you (or anyone else) please try to reproduce following bug?

During a call hit homebutton, go to any app and back to the call - the other side will stop hear you. (I did not take any log for now, I will do when a second person will confirm this)

I also have had this problem. The button assignment is a good work around.
One thing that I've done that seems to help is to give the earpiece a good blowout with canned air.
I still haven't worked up my courage to take the phone apart to clean the proximity sensor, but it may come to that at some point.

Hello,
Hello,
I will enable call recording on the next build coming on Saturday. It's a test, so please let me know if works.
Hi @AntaresOne, in first place, what a awesome work. I was in the stock 5.0.1 but as soon I saw your 5.1 build couldn't resist to come back to the dark side of the force. :D

Any news on the call record subject? I tried all known recorders w/o success.

Ty in advance.

I see people having problems with the proximity sensor. I download an app called proximity fix as a last resort, thinking it wouldn't do anything but it did. I used to have problems with the black screen but it seems to have fixed that. Give it a shot, it's free at least so worst case you just uninstall it.

Batteri life

So, I haven't read all 500 pages of posts and I couldn't find anything in the initial posts...
How is the batterylife in this rom? How about the "pause / shutdown" screen? I love the shutter / B&O / kameralens close. Is it also added here?

Thanks in advance

Phone freezes after latest update

Heya

So I did a factory reset, wiped cache, wiped dalvik, installed the ROM and GAPPS from this thread.
However, I can an error as soon as I exit the bootloader (something about a possible loss of root access).

Once the phone starts I get two errors:
*Unfortunately, Themes provider has stopped - this error pops up 5-10 times.
*UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition. I'm feeling lucky - once this error is gone the phone seems to freeze.

I have done a total reset again. With factory reset, wiped caches etc. I get the same error after next installation

EDIT:
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505
Mm and I'm from Europe

EDIT2:
Hm I connected the phone using a charger and formatted the SD card. Everything works now... Not sure what the final solution was, but I lost some data in the process.
So yeah, a heads up: Make sure your phone is plugged and you have backup of your SD card :)

Battery life is very dependent on how you use the phone, which apps you use, how you are able to setup ROM (e.g. screen brightness, live display, gps, apps synchronization, etc ... ) and most probably on your skill to setup kernel as playing with hotpug settings can bring incredible results (my current profile e.g. has the same antutu score as the "extreme performance" profile, but I am getting 2x battery life) ...
So for myself I can say battery life is very very good.

Hm thanks. with Cyanogenmod 10.2.x my phone could run for 3 days and 18 hours on "normal usage" before the battery ran dry.
I just find that some ROMS have huge memory leaks / battery drain

    Hey,

I see people still complaining about the 20/12 build. I already apologized for that, sometimes may happen that something doesn't work well, especially when there are a lot of updates to do in a little time. Probably who complains doesn't know what the dev life is, at this point I'll not share anymore my updates. Come on little men, build this ROM without me!!!!!!!! Write and test the code, build, test, fix bugs, rebuild, come on!!!! I really want to see you in my place.

I'm doing all this FOR FREE, I don't ask for payment, I don't ask for donations, I don't ask ANYTHING!!

So, why instead of supporting me you complain?

There's who supports me by donating a beer, a six-pack of beer, a coffee, a pack of cigarettes, 4 six-pack of beer... And who supports me by reporting bugs, giving logs, even with a "Thank you". You don't know how much I appreciate all this, thank you everyone

We are humans, we know that if we can monetize even a little from our own work is always better and keeps us in good spirits, to make our work always better and better. But I will never ask a single cent, the choice to donate or not is exclusively yours

To the noobs, complainers, haters: immediately stop and go away if your intention is to be against me. There are 2 other CM12 ROMs (even if they don't have all the tweaks inside here), use them.

Me and you are IDENTICAL, and since I'm a developer this doesn't mean that I'm a robot or that my life is based on staying all the days (every morning, afternoon and night) in front of a monitor, keyboard and mouse. As other people including you I'm a normal guy, 21 years old. I have my personal life beside the dev life: family, friends, work, saturday night at the disco... I'm young and I want to live my life

Now, I kindly ask you to stop swearing in this thread, it's a public place...

EDIT: oh, almost forgot, I deserve holidays too!

Thank you for everything and have a nice Christmas,

    Mattia D'Alleva
