Did you enter
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
at the end of flashing stock?
Sorry for being so persistent. I'm trying to understand what's going on
Oh and maybe remove the sdcard for the whole process, maybe even reformat it.
Not at all, thanks very much for the responses.
So what I'm saying is all those things everyone is suggesting, I've tried them all in different variations. They either seem to go well, but nothing changes, or they fail.
Basically the situation is:
I've successfully unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone, flashed this custom rom.
Then tried installing the OTA 'null-null' update that the rom told me to.
It rebooted, and got stuck on the loading screen (the floating colorful balls).
While stuck, it ran out of charge and turned off.
I charged it, but it was still stuck on the loading screen.
I went into bootloader and whatever option I select there, except for recovery, takes me to that same loading screen.
If I go into recovery anything I try doing there either fails, or seems to go well, but nothing changes.
Its the same for all of the adb, fastboot, mfastboot methods as well.
I think something is wrong with my data and internal storage. In recovery I constantly get the (E: unable to stat '/data/data/com."an app"/lib) errors, and different operations all fail on the part that does stuff to data. I cant seem to able to wipe it, format it, restore it, you get the idea.
I just bought this phone and I'm legit panicking, I don't want to buy another one. Has anything similar ever happened to anyone?
Thanks.
P.S. how do you remove your sd card from an xt1068, aren't they like built-in?
