On July I bought an mk808b plus from Gearbest. It has firmare version 111k4. I installed a terminal emulator, and using dmesg command I can see that the wifi driver loaded is for AP6212 device.
Thi rom has drivers for following devices:
AP6181, AP6210, AP6212, AP6330.

So, does this CM12 work with AP6212?

Hello,
I have also installed this rom and WiFi does not work.
Is there any chance patch to be released to fix this issue?

i just got a mk808b plus which i bought from gearbest. i followed the instructions but unfortunately i am experiencing the wifi issue too. i just cant seem to get it to work :<
i have also trieda usb wifi adapter but that isnt working either.

my stick came installed with build number 112k4 and kernal version 3.10.33
i used the burning tool to get it to version 109k4 and then flashed cm12 etc via recovery

has anyone who has purchased this stick recently been able to fix the wifi issue?

I've reverted back to the rom the stick came with (112k4) and wifi is working fine
I'm wondering if I can just copy the wifi drivers from this rom and overwrite the wifi drivers on cm12?
If so could someone please tell me how to do this :D
This is my first android stick so I'm quite an android novice, therefore I have no idea what directory the drivers are in etc.
thanks!

EC-MK808B Plus - Realtek 8723 WiFi & Bluetooth

Hey everyone. First of all, a huge thanks to Christian Troy for this rom. So much smoother and faster than any other rom I found for my device.

As you can see in the title, I have the EC-MK808B Plus version with Realtek 8723 WiFi & Bluetooth like a few other people in this thread, and because of that I can't get my Wifi and Bluetooth to work. So far I've tried extracting the 8723bs.ko kernel module from a working rom, and using insmod to load it into this rom, but that just freezes my device. I guess because its a kernel module for 4.4.2 and this is 5.0.2. But the kernel versions on the working rom and this rom are the same (3.10.33), so with my layman's logic, I though it could work.

I've also tried downloading this rom http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/download-android-lollipop-5-1-1-stock-firmware-for-csa91-tv-box.html, extracting and unpacking system.img to look for a module there, seeing as it is a Lollipop rom. (Other version, but thought it was worth a try), but unfortunately, I couldn't find it.

As anyone had any better luck than me? Or can anyone with more knowledge point me in the right direction to aquire/compile a working rtl8723bs module for this rom?

Release notes

Hello guys, I guess most of you have noticed that, right now, I'm just working on WeTek products (and couldn't be anything different since I really like doing this kind of stuff for them).
To prove you that WeTek Electronics cares about community and since we don't have any AMLogic S805 product, we decided to make users of MK808B-Plus happy by releasing a CyanogenMOD 12 build for them.

Userspace and kernel code has been upgraded to Amlogic's Lollipop SDK dated 2015-01-31 (they removed Widevine DRM support in Lollipop so apps like Play Movies won't be able to stream, I'm sorry).

First install instructions

* As really first thing I suggest you to flash stock "109k4" rom using "AMLogic Burning Tools" in case you're not already using that ROM or Finless' 1.1.
* Grab CWM from here, unzip it and copy "recovery.img" file to a MicroSD.
* Power off your device and unplug the AC power cord.
* Get the latest available ROM and GAPPS version from the links below and copy them to a MicroSD card.
* Now insert the MicroSD card in your HDMI stick.
* Plug the AC power cord while you keep pressed the little reset pinhole (located on the top left of the device) until you see the "Google TV" logo.
* Once the device has booted to recovery perform a factory reset and flash the ROM's zip for first followed by the GAPPS zip.
* Reboot and enjoy CyanogenMOD brought to you by WeTek.

Update instructions

* Get the latest available ROM and GAPPS version from the links below and copy them to a MicroSD card.
* Now insert the MicroSD card in your HDMI stick.
* Enable "Developer options" following this tutorial and from it enable the "Reboot to recovery" option.
* Bring up power menu by keeping F5 (if you have a keyboard plugged in) and select "Reboot -> recovery", otherwise use the pinhole method adove.
* Once the device has booted to recovery flash the ROM's zip for first followed by the GAPPS zip.
* Reboot and enjoy your updated CyanogenMOD.

I tried that stuff a while back with no success either. For me, my intended use was my carpc setup. The nail in the coffin was the lack of a HID touch mouse driver that has been present in every other stick pc I've used. It tracks, but won't accept touches as clicks. This ROM was screwed from the beginning. Who knows just what else was butchered and hacked to make it work. But stripping out basic code killed it for me. I even offered to pay someone to get a build going without success.

It's a problem of the amlogic kernel, in the previous build I had applied a patch from them (amlogic) to make it work (but the same patch should be used by Rikomagic in their latest 109k4 rom, in fact it was working on my FullHD DVI pc monitor), the same patch doesn't apply with the newer kernel though, I will give it a look and manually merge it

+1 Would love an update with the CM upstream features/fixes.
