Received and installed the 20151212 update via OTA today. Anyone installing should note to MOVE IT TO YOUR EXTERNAL SD CARD before installing; Recovery mode DOES NOT SUPPORT installation from internal storage. Downloading and booting into recovery without transferring the download to your external SD card WILL SOFT-BRICK YOUR DEVICE regardless of whether you attempt any installation while in Recovery mode. Attempting to roll back to 7.3 will not succeed in recovering the device.

Aside from that, after recovering via backup, transferring the download to my external sd, and installing via recovery, everything seems to be working as expected.

Do I have to flash anything else besides just the ROM. My wife is on firekat v9 nc2 4.4.2 and her data won't turn on, well its checked in the settings but all it shows is the signal icons. I wanna ROM for her that's gonna be dependable and effortless.

Update 12/26/15: Confirmed that v3 works and v4 doesn't. Using OTA Updates (built into Rom Control) reveals no update available.

Having used for a couple of days, battery life is fantastic when idle and performance is good. ViPER4Android is a fantastic addition, but for most UI topics I'm using a combination of Google NOW launcher and GravityBox (via Xposed), and it's playing nice for the most part: all I've noticed so far is that expanded Volume options consistently crash the system UI.

I've noticed primary issues so far:

1. Booting is not always successful, especially when having made a change that required reboot. If the screen showing the Android loading screen does not dim within 15 seconds of boot up, hard reset, and the phone should load as expected.
2. NFC is neither on nor off and cannot be toggled. This burns some battery, i'd guess about 7-10% over a full charge cycle. There might be a fix out there (referenced at http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/wip-getting-darklord-s6-beta-running-t3091194), but I opted to just uninstall the system app, which I expect to (but have not confirmed it to) resolve the issue.

Will continue to use the ROM. Based on everything I've seen in the ROM and what else is available to load, I'd give this a 4/5. I hope the instructions/information I've included below will help some with installation!

**

Update 12/24/15: v3 worked with the below instructions (and finishing with the instructions in the first post). Using it now; will attempt to update to v4 in a few minutes.

**

Following these steps has resulted in an installation error:

Install rooted 4.4.2 (found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51572044&postcount=2)

1. Flash

AP_N900AUCUCNC2_722276_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_C ERT.tar.md5
BL_N900AUCUCNC2_722276_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_C ERT.tar.md5

CSC_ATT_N900AATTCNC2_722276_REV03_user_low_ship_MU LTI_CERT.tar.md5

2. Root with Towel Root
3. Install BusyBox
4. Install SafeStrap
(Optional: Install NC2 Flasher by benwaffle [found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/development/nc2-flasher-app-unsafe-t2989141]; didn't make a significant difference.)
5. Reboot to Safestrap recovery.
6. Wipe everything but SD card 3x.
7. Return to main menu, select "Install", select AryaMod_V7.4.zip.
Receive error "error executing updater binary in zip".

Am currently trying the same steps with 7.3 and 7.2 and will post the results. I did not find a process error when reviewing the available instructions. Please help!

Actual Safestrap text:
Updating partition details. . .
Full SELinux support is present.
Installing '/external_sd/Aryamod/AryaMod_V7.4.zip'. . .

Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/Aryamod/AryaMod_V7.4.zip'

How did you resolve this, cause I am getting the same "no MD5 file found" error.

I used v3 and not v4. v3 resolves the md5 complaint.

I have not gotten any updates (v4 or OTA-provided) to install correctly. I have gotten them to install without soft-bricking my phone, but I can't tell the phone info doesn't update, and OTA continues to say than an update is available.

My wife is rooted with safestrap on 4.4.2 she's wanting to upgrade to 5.0. Which files do I need to make that happen and do I need to use Odin to flash them? Thanks

I flashed dompop ROM and have had lots of issues. I guess everyone over there has either died, or been really busy for the past 2 days of asking. Does this ROM work?

I managed to flash the Aroma version of this ROM on our AT&T BL-locked Note 3. I used FlashFire by Chainfire. At first, I bricked and tripped the Knox counter because apparently the kernel was wrong, despite me flashing the OC1 in FlashFire immediately after the ROM zip. I restored only the kernel with Odin and it booted (though in German...somehow). So now I'm on a working 8.1.

Wow that puts a whole new paint job on things! I'm wondering what other ROMs work now... did you actually boot to aroma too?

The thing is I haven't experienced any of that. It runs fine, I don't even think I've had any crashes, it's been fine on battery life. I can't give you an SoT, because my Nexus 6 is my main phone, but everything just works perfectly. And besides, I'm pretty sure it's irrelevant. The hardware is the same on all variants (that use the 800 SoC) and the software is largely the same. I'm just not having any issues. And as for heat, the 800 isn't a cool chip, but still- it's nothing worse than stock. @coollkidd

@Trident67 Yes, it worked fine. Aroma fully worked. And I'm curious what ROMs we could get to work as well. Only issue is the kernel
I'm gonna try it, two questions for ya: which version of this rom did you install?,and second does it have to soft brick first? Can I get the kernel in without Odin? Actually one more, do you think we can install any note 5 ported(5.1.1) ?or kernel won't work?

@trident67 I installed 8.1. I don't know it will always brick- you could replace the boot.img in the ROM zip with the OC1 kernel. I flashed the zip right after and it still bricked, and I can't try it again because I only have a Linux system at the moment. And as for that, I don't know. If it's optimized for the Note 3, etc etc, then in theory, yes. It's hit or miss, honestly. Worst case scenario is you Odin to stock. I say go ahead and try it.

OK ,the flash worked and didn't trip the counter which is good, but no matter how many times I flash, there's no regular touch wiz launcher, only easy mode is installed, weird.. any ideas?
