Just confirming that I was also experiencing this. I was also having problems with quick settings disappearing after one or two times accessing it. I ended up restoring my phone to a backup of the 01-16 version. I find it incredibly stable, I haven't had any major issues aside from GPS which I got working by flashing the fix.

Hopefully the next Nightly will fix those 2 problems!

I've been using this as my daily driver and this new build has been smooth sailing. Thank you for this fantastic ROM and giving me a reason to bring my Note out of retirement.

I think I found a quark in the 2-25. With the 2-3 build I was able to change the screen color in Liquidsmooth/advanced settings but they don't seem to do anything on the new build. I had it set to the UI scenario and Natural mode in the last one and it toned down the colors to make the screen look more like my Nexus 5 screen. Now none of the scenarios or modes seem to change the screen at all. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

Newest is 2-25 nightly from the first post. Its decent. I'm not satisfied with any of the roms lately. This 2-25 build has been my daily driver for a little over a week and i've been looking for a more up to date rom for the last three days. I usually switch between nameless, cyanide, and this liquid rom. For listening to music out of the headphone jack, this is the right rom. If rogers, der terfuer, and azeralkiss update their roms more frequently that would be great.

Sorry... I'm doin' weeklies unless something important needs to be dealt with between 'em.

Have a good one!

I have the latest nightly noticed that when I am not connected to wifi I cannot access the internet. I have a sgh-i317m connected to Telus but there are no APN settings being saved for the network. Not a big deal but just thought I would point it out in case others are having the same issue.

Thanks for all the hard work

Viper Problems and Newest Nightly

Hello.

Foremost, Viper seems to be broken. Could somebody please help me? I can't upload a screenshot (it won't let me), so I'll just type the output from "driver status". I've tried re-installing the driver multiple times. Tried "Force enable V4A". Tried compatibility. None of this works. Thanks for the support!

Driver Version: 2.3.4.0
NEON Enabled: No
Enabled: No
Status: Abnormal
Audio Format: Unsupported
Processing: No
Sample Rate: 0

Furthermore, I tried installing the 03-26 nightly from the "Layers" folder, but when I flash it tells me that the phone process has stopped. It shows this message in a recursive fashion and does not let me use the device. I was able to restore the previous nightly via a Nandroid. My question is as follows; is the file corrupt, am I doing something wrong, or should I not be going into the "Layers" folder at all?

Thank you for your time,
David Dahan

Great ROM

I was looking for a small fast ROM and this definitely fits the bill. I have a couple of issues and found 1 fix for a nagging small problem I caused.

Issue #1) A few times a day I get the "System.android.ui has stopped responding" error message and I get kicked back to the lock screen. Not a big deal. It comes right back up.

Issue #2) The biggest issue i have is that the LTE stops working when I enable wifi. No calls will come in at all. I have unlimited data so I rarely use wifi but sometimes I have no other choice.

Issue #3) I get an error under Liquid OTA updates. Available Updates. Error fetching update info: Invalid ROM ID (liquidt0lte)!

Thanks in advance! This is by far the best ROM I've found for my phone. Below is the Celsius to Fahrenheit fix I stumbled upon:

FIX: I, like a few others it seems, forgot to check fahrenheit when setting location on the main screen weather and clock app. I couldn't find a way to change it back. A few people posted a few ways to do it but none of them worked for me. Here's what did work:

1) From the main home screen press and hold any open area ( where there are no icons ) to open the Wallpaper, Widgets, Default S..., Settings sub menu.

2) Click settings

3) In the Inspire Settings screen go to advanced

4.) click "Reset Configurations" (WARNING! - this WILL remove any app shortcuts you have created. But I really wanted to change C to F so I did it.

5) Swipe left at Main screen and you'll see the location icon with the question mark symbol just as you did when you first loaded the ROM. (Make sure to check the Fahrenheit box this time after selecting your city. )

All set!

Support on this thread is for LiquidSmooth ROM related issues only.

While we do not mind helping, its getting impossible to sort through issues that are ROM related or not. Persistent non-ROM related issues are best suited for the AT&T Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting Section.

Below is a few things I would appreciate you list when you are having issues so we have as much information as possible when trying to help you with your problems.

    • Is this a Clean flash
    • Is this the stock kernel
    • What firmware revision are you on
    • What gapps package are you using
    • Have you had this issue on other ROMs
    • Do you have any apps that change/modify system preferences (Xposed, etc)
    • Do you have any task killers installed
    • If you are having app issues, are they running off of internal memory or extSdCard

    cheers
