Hello Everyone :)

Sony has started to roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Xperia Z.
Thus,I have created this firmware with pre-rooted tool & added SuperSu, Xposed Framework & also XZDualRecovery 2.8.23

You will need to have an Xperia Z C6603 running stock 5.0.2 / 5.1.1 firmware with rooted & custom recovery ( prefer TWRP ) installed in order to flash the zip.

It will only work on locked bootloader.

If you want to get Z5 user interface, visit here

Thanks, my Xperia Z is C6606 and 4.4.4 (c6603 rom). Should I flash 5.0.2 first or flash this 5.1 rom directly?

    Trouble flashing Stock Firmware

Please excuse me, if this was discussed earlier or on another place.

I have had installed in 2015 CM 12.1 on Xperia-Z (C6603) and it did work fine over the years.
When I made my experiences at that times, I could even flash Original Stock Firmware with Sony-Flashtool "Emma".

Now, some days ago, I switched to the TWRP-patched boot image, and it even worked fine.
Then I installed LineageOS 14.1, ... and it even worked fine.

But now I tried to flash Original firmware back, and neither Androxyde Flashtool (it says, it's the wrong firmware), nor "Emma", nor flashing this "C6603_5.1.1_Pre-Rooted_Firmware.zip" works.

All the time the installation runs clean end ends without error, but after that the system does not boot. It's reproducable.

Installing with fastboot the TWRP-boot-image again and installing LOS 14.1 again, works fine again.

What am I doing wrong, when going back to StockROM?
Nevertheless, booting into recovery (even into Philz, after installing "C6603_5.1.1_Pre-Rooted_Firmware.zip") after installing works correctly. But it behaves, as if there were NO operating system then.

Thank you very much for your suggestions.
Hey brother I had the same issue. The solution for it is to downgrade to 4.4.4 and the install 5.1.1 through Emma tool. It works!

Be sure to flash the correct ftf from your region. And use an older flashtool version.

How do I flash via flash tool? I get a bunch of .SIN files.,which aren't detected.
No .ttf which I assume I need to use in flash tool?

You must make a bundle out of it, just unpack the zip in folder and open Flash tool. After that click on Tools->Bundles->Create
Select your unpacked folder and click on every file that show at the bottom left and click on -> to chose it (chose all files like that).
After that double click on device field and chose your device (I assume sony xperia z and than version will follow up (C6603)), also Branding and Version fields must be filled up, you can type what ever you want here, and it will show up later in Firmware selector, and click create, w8 for what ever it takes to compile and you are done. Just select newly made firmware and flash it :D
    Cheers

Guys I tried this zip by myself and it works flawlessly.. I'm not sure why it doesnt work for you guys

Try updating ur recovery to the latest version or flash with TWRP recovery..

I have tried it with newest TWRP, it flashes but nothing happens, then I tried to make a ftf file and flash it but that doesn't flash superSU and other stuff, could you please check once again your download?
Or try to upload it to MEGA or something other?

Thanks, my Xperia Z is C6606 and 4.4.4 (c6603 rom). Should I flash 5.0.2 first or flash this 5.1 rom directly?

    Just directly flash this.
Prefer to clear internal storage if you are upgrading from 4.X based rom.
