download link broke please fix i want to try this rom out
love the way this rom runs .....buuuuut i have no baseband/imei and i am also aware that this rom is not for my phone! but i like to take chances!!!
so was wondering if anyone might have a suggestion as to why when the rom boots it asks for a SIM card when my network is CDMA
i tried the dirty flash method and i also tried the BOOST APN.ZIP and i lost the back up i had of my efs file....... sooooo
is there anyway for me to repair this with out going back to stock (again!) or will this rom just not work for me!!!
i also tried using odin went to stock then added philz then i rooted added busybox
booted into recovery flashed resurrection remix (with out wipe) then while still in recovery
wiped cache and dalvik then rebooted and started rom.....that didnt turn out well!!!!!!!!!
You will thrill all those triband owners if you have a way to flash the regular d2spr roms on the triband s3. You should make a thread with instructions (good ones). Nice work bro. That's the way it is with almost all d2spr roms when you try to flash them on the SPH-L710T but I figured out why they don't work! You have to resymlink your modem firmware files! Use a file browser with root access ( I prefer FX File Explorer) and navigate to "/system/etc/firmware" and delete all the files symlinked to your "/firmware-mdm/image/" files and symlink the correct images! I am working on making a recovery flashable zip to create the correct symlinks but I am not a developer so it's taking me awhile! But you can run any d2spr lollipop run and get your baseband and imei and service to work if you just symlink the correct modem-firmware files. You might wanna still flash the correct APN zip and you might wanna modify your build.prop!
Like I said before I am not a developer at all! I just love trying new roms and seeing what all I can do with my phone! Plus I am horrible with explaining things if you haven't noticed! Hell I can't believe nobody else hadn't figured that out out by now but I have been talking to the Developer Perseus who does the SlimLP 5.1.1 alpha and beta roms about this to see if he can start working on making us a version of SlimLP 5.1.1 we can flash without having to go thru this ourselves cause I doubt alot of noobs know how to create symlinks for system files! It's really just as simple as flashing the correct APNs and letting the device boot up then using a file manager with root access to delete the improper symlinked files for the modem-firmware images and then symlinking the correct files! So far it's work on SlimLP 5.1.1 , A.I.C.P 5.1.1 , Pac-Man 5.1.1 , A.O.S.B Kitkat , Carbon Kitkat , and S.O.K.P Kitkat! But I had extract all the files in each roms zip file and modify the updater-script file at the beginning to not check the recovery build.prop to not check if it's the d2spr or the d2lte and then just zip the rom back up. I also change device info from d2spr to d2lterefreshspr on the roms build.prop once it boots the rom. I don't if that necessary but I do anyways. But after all that once you symlink the correct modem images and then reboot device and selet your APN in settings your service, baseband, imei, everything should work just fine! I get full LTE service from Sprint on all the roms I've tested this on! Sometimes my data gets alittle slow but at least it all works! Maybe developers will look into this for us and start building more roms specifically for ours since we know the basic problem now! It shouldn't be hard for developers to modify the zips files to symlink our modem files right! If you want I can upload some of the roms zips I've changed the updater-script on and a file showing all the correct symlinks to create to my Google Drive account and send you a link so you can download them and test the roms yourself so you can do the same to roms you want to run! I have the latest TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery flashable zip for our device from the Oct-L developers only I decompiled it the recovery.img and updated the theme from the old 1 to the same 1 Lrs121 uses in his TWRP recoveries he made! Just send me a message directly and I will send you links to whatever Roms I've modified the updater-script file so it will flash on our device and the build.props I have already modified and put into a flashable zip file so you don't have to modify them yourself! I just started uploading the Roms and build.props zips I have modified to my Google Drive account today so theres only a couple on there right now but I will upload all the 1's I have and tested in the next couple of days! Now I can only verify this working on the Sprint's SPH-L710T Tri-Band model! If Boost and Virgin Mobile have a Tri-Band mobel as well I can say it would work for it cause I don't have 1 or know anyone that does! You will thrill all those triband owners if you have a way to flash the regular d2spr roms on the triband s3.
