CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Installation

• Make sure you are either on any Lollipop ROM or on 4.2.2 TW based ROM
  and NOT on 4.1.2 TW based ROM
• Download the ROM (no Gapps)
• Reboot to recovery
• Make a backup (optional)
• Wipe system and data (Factory Reset)
• Flash the ROM
• Reboot your phone

Update

• Flash the ROM without wipe

Play Store is not meant to work on this ROM, it's a microG ROM without the need for any Google apps.
Install this ROM instead when you want use Google/Play Store...
When you don't want use Google, use the installed Aurora Store and F-Droid to install apps...
