Thank you for your reply!

My data folder is in f2fs so I guess I am stuck on this recovery for the moment. The version of twrp I am on supports f2fs, but maybe I need to start doing a backup and changing recovery.

I am looking forward to a version of cyanogenmod that is compiled for this device rather than the very clever hacked version I have been using. Its been incredibly stable and made me like this device (best device in my budget to replace a failing Nexus 4) but obviously there are device specific components that could improve things even more. So fingers crossed! <3

I am happy to say that I got installed. It took a modification of the install script but everything is working well now. I probably shouldn't share the edits as things could go horribly wrong if someone doesn't do it right.

I was right about device specific optimisations - in the build I was running before, the code was more likely optimised for a different device (it was done by Juanro49 who posted earlier in this thread - his builds allowed me to use cm12 many months ago and thus not hate this device - thank you for your great work Juanro <3).

So of the optimization, I noticed is better frame control in certain contexts such as games and some videos . They were running at far too high speeds like fast forward, but now run correctly.

There is also the battery indicator is working more correctly, although I got completely used to it sticking at 100/88%.

So far, it's been a good update! Thank you for providing it!

Maybe you have an idea where to look to solve the problem:

1 .with bad battery status - it long remains at 100% and 88%
in log:
D/VM_BMS ( 260): For batt_temp=265 fcc_mah=2074
but my device have/uses HB3748B8EBC_FMT_ATL-4v35-3000mah.dtsi battery

2. nfc error:
in log:
E/BrcmNfcNfa(14455): reset notification!!:0xa0
E/BrcmNfcNfa(14455): NCI version mismatch!!:0x10 != 0x00
E/BrcmNfcNfa(14455): NFCC version is too old
E/BrcmNfcNfa(14455): Failed to reset NFCC

on g620s it sticks long time during charging at 98 per cent.
i was thinking that you might compile with only G7 activated in defconfig? ( no g620s, etc)

check in dts/qcom/g7 if all files related to battery are there.
compare with stock g7 dts/g7 also.
Why
cat /sys/class/power_supply/battery/type = Unknown

my battery is:
cat /proc/app_info
battery_name : HB3748B8EBC_FMT_ATL

and I add this dtsi to kernel
arch/arm/boot/dts/qcom/huawei_g760_l01_vb/HB3748B8EBC_FMT_ATL-4v35-3000mah.dtsi: qcom,battery-type = "HB3748B8EBC_FMT_ATL";
