I don't know if this is a bug or an issue that only happens to me but here it goes. During a call if i activate the phone speaker the other participant can hear me with no issues but if I deactivate the speaker and try to talk back normally he can't hear me no more. Activating the speaker again and the other person can hear me. So basically I can only be heard with speaker option enabled during that specific call if I activated it once.

I wanted to know, if it is possible to update the phones software and keep all my UI Settings, Apps, offline Calender entries etc.
YES, if you flash the .ZIP file using TWRP and you don't wipe anything before, then only your Software is updated, but all settings and your data remains. This oft course only works, if you update weithin your ROM (e.g. you flash a newer CM 12.1 over an existing CM 12.1)

Anyone can help out with my issue please? Is this common or only happening to me for some reason?

Hello derf elot, can we expect April updates anytime soon? It would be great. Thank you and please keep up the good work.

Hi,

I'll try to do that this weekend. But no promises, it's a lot of patches and it all depends on how easily they can be applied to lollipop and 3.4 kernel sources.

edit: actually, Google hasn't even released the links to the patches yet. so it might be another week

Your link is 404... I found this - https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/ - but not sure how it answers the question. Seems like there is an April patch available...

yes, but the links to the patches aren't there yet. e.g. compare (scroll down to the actual patches, links are under "References")

edit: also, keep in mind that neither Google, nor LOS are keeping their LP sources up to date anymore. The patches posted also only apply to the N source. So many have to be backported to work with LP. I haven forked many repos to apply these patches, but it's a lot of work and needs a bunch of testing. On top of that, there are all the kernel patches as well, of course ;)

Hi all,

I have made a little step towards the right direction and brought the build to PL 2017-04-01, which was relatively easy - however, I had to leave out CVE-2017-0558 and CVE-2017-0560, which are both rated 'moderate' only (but not that easy to patch, as the 7.1 code significantly differs from 5.1 and I am not that familiar with the C programming language): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767159281

But at least, some critical and high issues are fixed now.
Will try in the next couple of days to move on towards 2017-04-05 and 2017-05-01 . . .
Regards, M.

New CM-12.1 ROM f. amami with April Sec.Patches

Hi all,
@derf elot , @Micha_Btz and I have started working together to continue maintaining the CM-12.1 ROM for Sony Z1c amami with most recent Android Security Patches.

The ROM is available for download here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862726677

It contains the April 2017 security patches (2017-04-05), except for CVE-2017-0560 and CVE-2016-5349, on which we will continue to work, together with our current work on getting the May patches back ported.
Later today, I will also upload a version including microG-patch.

To build yourself, use the LineageOS CM-12.1 tree and the local manifest on @derf elot 's github (cm-12.1 branch), which will include all device-specific and maintained objects:
https://github.com/derfelot/local_manifests

As you may know, doing this involves a fair amount of work, so we definitely welcome contributions, especially pull requests :)
On @derf elot's github, we have created a repository called 'discussion', where we communicate open about our progress with issues. So again, any help (pull request) is much appreciated.

Regards, M.

Here's modded framework jar to work with z4 camera port. Combine with Munjeni's ta tool, and you get some excellent pictures...

Camera port - http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro.../port-xperia-z4-framework-sony-stock-t3154772

Munjeni's tool - https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/poc-real-trim-instead-drm-fix-t3552893

levone1 could you please explain how to go about this or point me to the relevant information.

I am quite new to all things custom rom. At the moment I am on dstriker's rom. But I would like to change to this rom or optimumpro's jaguar rom because of the security updates. It would be nice to get rid of google dependencies also. To have good camera quality even after opening boot loader would be awesome :)
