BOOSTPOP

BoostPop represents what I want from a custom rom: a fast, stable and optimized system compiled directly form the android source. You can think BoostPop as a "funcional BOOSTED factory release" , the main goal of the Boost-Project is to compile an hyper optimized custom rom and thanks to the SaberMod team this is possible...If what you are looking for is a sort of fast stock rom, this is the correct place :good:

Full wipe or dirty flash?
I explain...first the updater-script makes a backup of the gapps, then it automatically installs: rom, gapps and supersu...so, if you already are on boostpop you can simply flash the .zip. Indeed, If you format system before the flash you need to install gapps beacuse the script has nothing to backup in your system partition. At the end, you can always flash over previous boost if the dev don't specify.

Can you add this feature?
I don't answer to feature request...I am not ignoring it but don't pretend that I merge the feat you like, thanks

What about the kernel?
Kernel is based on SaberMod kernel, an hyper-optimized kernel...Don't ask for hard modded kernel, I m not going to add any kind of feat. Flash the kernel you like.

I found this bug, can you solve?
Please when you find some kind of bug report all the steps you made and/or attach a logcat. Is important that the developer is able to reproduce it. Also remember this (true in general):
system FC --> Rom, reboot --> kernel, user apps --> we need to investigate :)

Sometimes I have no service and sometime I have problems on switching from WiFi to 3G
This problem has nothing to do with the Rom. Check your Access Point under Network Prefereces

What about Heads-Up ??
No modifications here.... BoostPop uses stock integration

Are you adding theme manager?
No way. BoostPop dosen't support theme manager.

What is bitSyko project?
You can find all the informations you need here. And the G+ community here. This apps allows the runtime package overlay.

Why USB tethering is not working on my Mac?
Is a well not problem of compatibility between mac and android. To work, you need to install horndis, by your own risk, on your mac and use your phone with the PTP protocol by setting Camera instead of Media Device

Can you add a better audiofx app?
No...I am not adding third part apps by default...Install the audio manger you prefer...One of the most famous is Viper4Android or CM Audio FX

i run this build from 18 dec without any bug. i like your android minimalistic approach. if I had been able to build a rom myself, i think rom would be the same as yours :)
