anyone seeing the roaming icon figured it out yet?

to explain, sometimes the signal indicator shows a R instead of 4g or 3g. when this happens I seem to still have a normal connection, so it's just a cosmetic thing.

I've tried changing APN's and editing some APN related files, but it doesn't seem to fix anything. I'm starting to wonder if it's just an issue with the framework or something down those lines, but I don't know enough about where to look to figure it out.

I've had this issue with Xenon for quite a while now. Like you said, it will sometimes toggle itself from a solid 4g to the R for no reason at all while the screen is off. Data is still solid but the indicator shows the roaming R. Never have been able to get out to go away.

Also have to say that I've tried almost every CM and AOSP based rom for the M8 and haven't had this issue. Outside of that I have zero complaints with the current build of Xenon. Solid as hell.

Not quiet sure, but I guess this is a problem with Verizon network. Does not happen in germany though!

Yeah, I'm on Verizon. Like I said, it never happens on any other rom. Strange. Guess I'm moving to Germany [emoji6]

I get the roaming "R" on Verizon from time to time as well.

Has anyone got the heads up "floating mode" to work?

I restored my phone with the vzw RUU before clean flashing and I've noticed the data connection (at least in the status bar) is behaving much better now.

Sorry for my bad english.

I think this ROM is really nice.
It is rockstable and smooth.
But just one thing makes me back to sense ROM.

Although i installed HTC Service Pack, Camera and Gallery, i couldn’t use special function of camera such as UFOCUS, DIMENSIONPLUS and etc.
I would really appreciate if you guys tell me if this bug is fixed.

Builds on AFH are stable releases on the other hand builds on c0urier are like nightlies/weeklies.

But the latest build on AFH is more rcent than the latest one on c0urier.

Extreme battery drain issue.

I'm experiencing extreme battery drain and unhealthy battery charges. Both phones over the last 45 days have gotten so bad. What I've done is on both devices , ran a RUU, then did a factory reset, Then charged the battery to 100 and then calip battery. Allowed the phones to drain to ten percent and them charged it to a 100. That has slowd it down half on my phone. Now my girls phone has done nothing. And gotten worse. To the point. If phone powers off cause battery went to zero. Takes 45mins to go from white screen with battery image to the next one that pops up after a complete drain going from white till where the battery is now green and has a percentage number on it with current battery %. Ive done every guide you can read about with subject, solve lollipop 5.1 battery bug. I can't think of anything other then this , I'm thinking in kernal auditor, if she has chosen a feature and changed something by accident. Then whenever I use a stock RUU, and install current build on boot after using setup wizard , when entering her Google account doesn't this just enable previous settings for items in backups of them being reinstalled. If that's the case on every new setup the mistake is being reloaded on setup just causing it to come back. Now I've charged the phone for a day, it was at 37%, checked again it said 66.l% Then powerd up phone and it now had battery power at 34%. , installed one app, and it drained to 28%,loss of six. Anyone with any.ideas would be great. My mind is thinking bug or a kernel audior option with some settings enabled by mistake. I'm gonna post on community page in Google plus.

Just switched back to XenonHD after using a couple other roms. Very smooth, fast and great battery life so far! Can anyone recommend a good kernal that plays well with this ROM that includes USB fast charge? Thanks for the hard work DEVS!
