I was just wondering if I am missing something.

Is it possible with this rom to allow the volume buttons to skip tracks etc?

If not, would it be possible to add it in in future builds?

Maybe you should move onto marshmallow version :)
I think the lollipop version won't be updated, but since this rom is based on cm at least in lollipop, should be there.

Hey guys, first time trying to flash a custom ROM on my device.

I went through the beginner steps of rooting the phone and installing TWRP, so I'm ready to go, but just tried to flash this and an error came up on the TWRP screen.

The error:
Could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file.
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/Android/device_oneplus_bacon-EXODUS-6.0.zip

I'm guessing my problem is I downloaded the wrong zip file? I can't really tell which one I'm supposed to for my Oneplus One, there are several listed, one that says Device first, and then another that says Vendor.

Any help or direction would be great.

Thanks

i am new to this rom and would like to share a problem i am facing.
As i pull down the drawer, i press the wifi (down arrow) to show me the available networks. It doesnt seem to work as i press on every network but nothing happens.
Additional, i go into Settings - Wifi and try to choose manually a network. It shows Erase - Cancel - Connect. I choose Connect but again nothing happens.

Hello, I'm currently on r18 and I want to revert back to full stock and lock bootloader. I want to do this because I want to re-unlock bootloader and reflash TWRP while keeping stock rom in order to see if Android Pay still works. The reason being is that I bought a Oneplus 3 and I want to unlock bootloader and flash TWRP for nandroids, but I don't want to lose android pay. Í've been searching the internet for an answer but I can't find any. My main question is: can I unlock bootloader and install TWRP, keep stock rom (oxygen os with OTA updates) AND keep android pay?

Yes you can but you can flash stock Rom and then flash term and keep Android pay still working. But if you flash supersu, it's a different story though.

I use the hardware buttons and always set the menu button (the left button) single tap as Recent Apps, and long-press as Menu.
Why can't I find an option to change that behaviour in Exodus?

The default settings are Single Tap Menu, and long tap Recents.

EDIT: GOT IT. :D

Hey there .. Just wondering if U can let me know how U got your "Recent Apps" to show.?

For some reason either a long press on the Home button, or a long press the Back button doesn't work.?

I need the Recent Apps function .. Anyone know how to get this to work.? Gone thru settings, can't find it.?

Could anyone please share the 24072015 build? The server was shut down a few months back and I couldn't find any mirrors too.

I would like to put this into perspective for those who are asking questions but are not familiar with development.

Team Exodus's decision to switch from a CM base to an AOSP base is a very good move, but it takes time. AOSP does not build for any device tree natively. One way of building AOSP for a device is by creating or heavily modifying an existing device tree. Of course, to support multiple devices, it is easier to modify the base source than adapt a bunch of device's trees (some devices cannot even have AOSP built for them no matter what). A lot of ROM teams choose to base on CyanogenMod or any pre-existing ROM because they have most of the device changes implemented in their source. When a ROM chooses to base off of AOSP, they must implement the changes by themselves.

What's the reason for basing on AOSP rather than CM, Slim, or Omni?
First of all, it is a cleaner source to work with (not saying those ROMs sources are "dirty", I mean it strictly as easier to work with). It is like building a car from scratch the way you like it rather than buying a pre-assembled car and tearing it down to modify the parts. Features can be implemented easier with an AOSP source.

Also, like the devs mentioned earlier, it is easier to merge AOSP updates. Future revisions of +6.X will come faster. Even Exodus 7.X will probably come faster, too.

Hopefully this answers the question on why the wait is "too long".

This rom+kernel indeed supports full f2fs for data and cache ;)

We work hard on exodus 5.1, especially as we now have an additional developer (Raja) on board. But as we currently also work on an additional complete new wallbreaking new feature (it's called Morph), we still need some time to make everything working. But we are pretty confident that this feature will be liked by a lot of ppl, especially as it will give you a new level of customization on an rom.

And yes, this is completely new, nothing like that has been done before by any other rom dev ;)
