What Exactly do you expect out of "performance"?

Hard to reach, I had not seen a smartphone with snappy fast performance an I mean non laggy, instant launch of an app and zero crash. At least, not after some week of work. Maybe only iPhone but I can't live with one of those. So, I need Android. But ok. With my S3? I expect only rezonable good usage, I can't expect nothing more. LP? On S3 is absolutly unusable on my device, I had tried few roms. You click on some app... need to wait 8-15" to launch. You enable data connection or wifi? Entire system collapse and is unusable for 2-3 minutes, absolutly unusable, totally laggy. So.. I think I will take a step back to KK, at least I can live 1 mounth without fullwipe =)

I agree that lp roms are not quite ready performance wise but still the timers you are talking about are way to big. For me it takes 2-3 seconds to start an app and data and Wi-Fi connections are almost instant without any effect on stability.

I'm a android developer and have been looking over the last few pages of this thread and notice a few things as a developer I would rather spend time with family than hours on end working on a ROM with some users who don't follow simple rules.
In magiorom we had some rules.

Search the thread, there's so many posts that your problem has been answered already. Just look we refuse to answer any question that has already been asked and answered.
A hint while searching use keywords of your problem.

Negative comments are welcome but my god if you expected an alpha or beta build to be perfect go and buy an iPhone, we are not experts and we certainly can't produce what your idea of perfect is.

If you have a problem describe it in detail and provide evidence, screenshots and logcats its easy to do. The best logs can be gathered either by going to settings - developer options - enable debug option on power menu or download catlog click floating window button then record the steps you take to repeat you problem.

Failure to adhere to simple rules is a breach of XDA rules.

1. Even iPhone lags after a few months of usage
2. I have no idea why you are experiencing those issues. I personally and alot others ( as seen in all LP threads) have no issue. App launches almost instantly (less than .5 second) and WiFi and Data even GPS toggles dosent lags the phone and system. Wifi , data , GPS and others turn on almost instantly too.
3. Yes Lollipop for I9300 is not that performance wise for now since its still in BETA and there aren't that many devs working on it.
4. Maybe you should try a full return to stock including internal storage and try again?
Just my two cents. :)

Most people dirty flash from kitkat then come here and cry about issues they are encountering. IF YOU DONT FULL WIPE AND CLEAN INSTALL YOU WILL GET ISSUES. SO JUST STAY WITH KITKAT IF YOU DONT WANT TO WIPE AND STOP NAGGING.

If you don't read the thread but only look at the last page it's your fault. It's the third time this week that i FULL WIPPE THE PHONE (system, preload, data, sdcard, cache, dalvik, etc) and then install this rom. I had NEVER update becausw I want to do always a clean install to get the most out of the roms. So, read before scren in face of someone. =)

I had done another full wipe and reinstall without boofla this time. After 3 hours the performance is terrible... I don't have much apps in background as I see and had not installed any external mod. Only roms, gapps, my aps (facebook, g+, sygic, whatsup, etc.. almost 20 apps the I really use. Nothing more). Phone killed.... I can't understand what is the problem

You tell me
I can't understand what is the problem

This rom is based on unofficial cm12 for our s3 and it's still WIP and it will be long until lolipop gets stable enough if ever on s3..even this far is great progress but much work still do to.

So u understand now?? Why u think Samsung and any other major OEM releases their firmware a bit later, because much much work is needed and all these XDA devs are doing it for free and it they spare time..

Let's go on topic now please ☺

If you do the right thing all works very fine, no just flash like an idiot and say it's not work. Your system take few times to work perfectly not in five minutes. Keep working 2 or 3 day and cycle of charge and, here you can make you an idea of this rom,not in the tens minutes after you put in on the phone

Exactly. People use the rom for an hour and then cry that battery life sucks and slow performance. Little do they know that at first boot there will be millions of processes in the background and they have no patience to wait for the next day.
And btw @xda-con just remove facebook and install facebook lite. It is official app, if its not available to your country from playstore download it from apkmirror.com. it will help alot since facebook app is very ram hungry and will slower your phone

i didnt get you?

Oops I thought my previous message will be quoted but it did not. So this is what i wanted to communicate:

On the previous version there was an issue with the fallback fonts not been selected properly. But with the new version its been fixed and thank you for that.

However on the new version i noticed few issues. Listed them down in hope that it would help you to optimize the ROM.
  • NFC Tile cannot be added to the quick settings pull down
  • When we restart the device the top notification bar kind of get duplicated. It goes off in few mins
  • Launcher crashes when the load is too much
  • Even the proximity sensor deactivates the screen some times it gets inputs when i take calls (e.g. keypad tones if i press it against my face)

I will keep adding more when i find them.

Thank you very much for this ROM. It's so far the best Android L ROM for S3.

When I'm having a call and the display dimmed down, but it's not locked it's still responsive and acts weird, cos I'm hitting stuff with my ear. Is this bug fixed, yet?
Latest cm12 build got the in call mute bug fixed. Is this somehow also related to the bug I mentioned?

Share with us your kernel tweaks or any other tweaks that reduced (or you think that they did) the device heating on cm12 based Roms on i9300 :) :)

Nope.mute has nothing to do with it.it will be fixed in next build. Anyways ....disable ambient display to get rid of the above bug mentioned
