I used the S959G pit mod because the I777 pit made my phone get stuck on the CM12.1 boot screen, the ROM I installed after I did it so I flashed the S959G pit and it booted. But if you do it, it removes the modem for some reason which you can reflash in CWM/TWRP to get back easily.

Let me link you, one sec

yeah, I'm thinking I'm gonna go with the one he made for his sg959 for mine, but I'm ultimately considering screwing with my i777 as well.

Would somebody kindly point me in the direction of the latest cyanidleL friendly generic twrp so I may try the modified pit on my i777?
TWRP for Kit Kat and latest there is a later version but backing up is weird in 2.8.7.0, best to stick with this version.

Edit: now getting some kind of weird isssue here, I need Burnt Toast and Backup All Apps xposed modules and Angry Birds Star Wars but they won't reinstall on my phone, and before you guys blame space, about 400 or 500 MB free in /data

I with those three apps in APK I get this error
Out of Space and cancel and Manage Apps

Others install fine on 17.5
Any advice?

hey, I have an odd question. Is it possible to disable the screenshot/bug report button combinations? I am honestly quite nerdy and for the express purpose of fulfilling my **** Tracy itch, my phone spends a great deal of time strapped into this. http://www.amazon.com/GoCuff-799418383965-Parent-Smartphone-Case/dp/B00HLA5FGG

My only real issue w/ using my phone like this is the occasional irritation caused by the vibration and notification from accidentally taking a screenshot or making a bug report I never wanted. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it annoys me greatly as I've tried to work out all the kinks associated with heavy use of a case like this with a considerable bit of effort. (auto speakerphone and ultimate rotation control play a large part in this.)

I am speaking to you my favorite xda thread,
Can you help me make my CyanideL "Pip Boy" more awesome?

Screenshot I won't remove, I use it all the time. How are you triggering a bug report? I'll gladly dump that

Honestly, I was just wondering if it (turning said features off) was possible and what I would have to do to achieve it. As for the bug report, I honestly don't know. It seems to happen at random if I'm wearing the case too tight and turn my wrist in a way that momentarily mashes the volume up/down/power buttons. It's difficult to intentionally trigger, so I have yet to figure out the culprit. Google hasn't really afforded me many answers yet either.

Actually when I posted this this morning I forgot to mention the biggest issue I'd come across while using the phone in a gocuff; The case triggers the proximity sensor causing the screen to immediately go blank during calls. again, something I can mitigate with a little creativity and the right combination of third party apps. (But any time I can cut myself loose from those pesky third party apps It makes me very happy)

I would LOVE the option to toggle any of these features off or change this behavior if there were a way to make it that simple.

you know, it's been in there for a WHILE come to think of it. I'd completely forgotten :silly:

Thanks man, I appreciate your help.
Let me know if you figure anything out about that bug report thing please. Or if you find a way to reassign or disable the screenshot function in case one were so inclined.

SlimLP rom is much closer to the holy grail of lollipop on the i777

Focus and time should be spent there, as soon as outgoing call is fixed, and possibly the camera focus if it matters that much, it will be fully stable. Does not get hot, uses very little battery, very impressive.

@justanother1020 I've read over your last comment a few times recently, trying to decide what I wanted to say before responding. So I'll say this;
I have my own reasons I won't list here, but I prefer this rom, and while I'm sure it was meant to be harmless, am tempted to take offense at the tone of your statement. (before you get mad hear me out)

I would like to ask that in the future you don't join the conversation on a development thread and tell the devs what they should focus on.
We are blessed enough to have people willing to take time out of their busy lives to develop and test this software for free.

If you like Cyril's rom and want to praise his building efforts, there's a thread for that. But please refrain from making discouraging statements that make XDA users seem less grateful/intelligent. There's enough of that going around here and rogersb11 has had to put up with enough idiots cluttering his threads lately**. I don't think he deserves to be dealt so much grief for doing a cool thing.
( ** the bicycle seats thing was hilarious/harmless)

^You need to smoke a bowl man. All he was doing was trying to help fix the call bug. And now you've probably made him say **** it. Any other developers want to chime in?

Yeah, I thought I'd taken enough time to think out my comment in the 2 days before I posted it, but now reading it I'm still not happy with the way I've worded it.

Actually, I did smoke a bowl before/while typing that comment, (probably why I edited it like 5 times) I was honestly quite chill at the moment and speaking from the heart. I love this forum and am VERY thankful it exists. Sometimes I feel like too many of us take this community for granted. I have my own fair share of projects I devote my free time and efforts to and often find myself feeling sympathetic to the devs here. (While the comment in question was admittedly harmless, I still felt like addressing the issue directly as over time I've seen quite a few talented devs leave this community after so many similar statements. I don't wanna see anyone's efforts undermined by people with contagious "why bother" attitudes. You wouldn't believe You should know as well as anybody the absurd amount of ridiculous **** people have to put up with around here.)

Honestly I don't think there's ANYTHING wrong with the guy's statement, I just think it could've been more tastefully worded.
@justanother1020 Sorry for picking on you man, your opinion is valid and has just as much value here as anybody's. I'd hate to think I were discouraging anyone from taking part in this community.

I thought you were fine dude. Go to the ROM thread you want to praise to say that, not another ROM thread. Makes no sense and I thought what he said was rude anyway basically putting down something that has had way more time spent on it. You want to know what roms are really like you probably need a device newer than 4 years old lol. I've done WAY WAY more work than slim on lollipop and that's a fact. Nobody has this phone anymore, not any developers anyway. Mine is trash basically, outcall bug getting fixed is EXTREMELY doubtful.

Edit: And then I see the new hack fix hahaha, insert foot in mouth here. That's very very nice, I will get this updated with my final L release and I will add that zip to the OP as well

Lol, I just got my hands on a note 4 for cheap. I love the hardware, but using it makes me miss this rom so much I'm considering getting rid of it and using the i777 a bit longer.
(That and it's the Verizon branded one anyway, I'm not patient enough to wait for downgrade methods/root/recovery/ROMS to make their way to this particular variant and an unrooted phone is pretty much useless to me.)

You've done some EXCELLENT work with this rom man. It's easily my all time favorite on any android device.

I've downloaded the file twice and couldn't get it to flash successfully. My first try failed when flashing system. The second one just caused TWRP to reboot.

I have been running the latest Slim builds with no issues.
