Two Questions:
1) Does this ROM have a way to display the weather on the Lock Screen?
2) Can this ROM display the battery percentage after only the first pull-down (and not the second)?

Enough lol, I'm actually going to edit my FAQ to make that answer more clear

i honestly appreciate his willingness to answer even simpler questions (like mine oftentimes!) since there are nearly 150 pages of thread and it's not easy to know the right keyword for your issue eveyry time.

The FAQ on his post rocks though

1) yes
2)not sure what you mean?

I've a problem with battery discharging. The battery discharges by 2% each time instead of 1% like 36% to 35% usually instead of 35%.

I'm using the last version of Pure Nexus ROM and the last version of ElementalX kernel.

I don't know if this problem is ROM or Kernel related.

I uploaded some log just in case.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/du6dhpax9ccp9cb/log.zip?dl=0

My battery does the same with any rom or kernel. Anyway, I don't see a problem with it. What would be the problem?

Someone said that the phone goes into deep sleep to the point where it doesn't refresh in the UI what the current battery is when it depletes by 1%, and by the time it updates, 2% was depleted instead. Makes sense to me because I tend to notice the 2% depletion usually right after I pick my device up and start using it. I don't normally notice it when like 10-15 mins into using my phone in the current session.

Hey all. New the custom ROMs here, as this is my first one. I doubt I'll go back to anything other than a Nexus phone after this, though. Rooting and ROM'ing this thing was almost as easy as the one touch root I had when I rooted my Droid X way back in the day. Anyway...

I have Pure Nexus Layers, and I'm wondering about actually getting some layers/themes. I downloaded the Layers Manager app, and grabbed the Showcase app as well. When I'm browsing the Layers in the showcase app, though, nothing is saying it will work with my phone. All Layers are saying they aren't supported by my version of Android. Besides Pure Nexus and installing the Layers apps, I haven't done anything else related to modifying the phone. Any suggestions?

The Showcase app is outdated. You can use it to look at themes but consult the Play Store listing to see if it is Marshmallow compatible or not (can either tell by the description or by the last update date).

Ahh, alright. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks so much :) That was a lot easier than I expected haha

Motorola Connect crashing with Pure Nexus

Hi guys! I just want to start off by saying I LOVE this ROM. This is the first ROM I've truly loved and had zero to no issues with. Paired with EX Kernal Manager my Nexus 5X is a BEAST right now.

The only problem I've been having is with Motorola Connect. I have a Moto 360 (2015) smartwatch, and I kinda need that app to get it's full functionality. Anyone know of any fixes for this or is it a known issue?

I am using TWRP and I just dirty flashed the newest PureNexus (Layers build) and vendor build, wiped cache/dalvik, reflashed my kernel, and previously I had CLEAN flashed everything from stock (after rooting) and done all the steps but was having the same issue. I will do a clean flash of the newest PureNexus build if you think it will fix it, but I would like to try other options first!

Thanks!

did you make sure google play services is on your watch?
if not, reboot both devices, hit resync all apps on android wear app, wait for apps to sync, and reboot both again

Try clearing the app data in Settings > Apps > Motorola Connect > Storage.

Hi there, Google Play services is definitely functioning on both devices. Moto connect is the only app not working correctly. When launching it immediately crashes and gives the "Connect has stopped" error. Uninstall and reinstall changes nothing.

Thanks!

Can also notice that my battery indicator can drop by 2% instead of 1% while browsing forums with Tapatalk for example. I'm also using the Elemental X kernel + latest Pure Nexus.

Can't agree that it is somehow related to deep sleep, because the screen is on all the time.

You need MMB29Q, if it doesn't work in TWRP, try using fastboot.

Well after a bit of an absence while rebuilding the rom from scratch for 7.0 i am finally pleased to announce the return of PureNexus!!

    a couple things to note:
*not all mods from marshmallow will be in the first build so be patient as i add your favorite mods, etc!
*as of right now the rom only has substratum legacy support. will update to full blown substratum as the stability increases for N!
*changelog doesnt display anything for this first build as all changes are listed on github/xda op, changelog will be back next release!

ok, Lets get to the goodies!!

Okay guys the time is here, finally 7.1.2 for purenexus officially released!!!

    a couple things to note:
*the rom is now signed with private keys starting with 7.1.2 this is good for security purposes, but you will be required to clean flash this build, going forward you can dirty flash as long as it is an official release
*i have removed the built in gapps for "nexus devices" i however will not respond to any bug reports using open gapps, use the newly made BeansGapps alongside purenexus for the best results!!
*this release mostly is focused on stability and getting all the features from 7.1.1 into 7.1.2 without issues, next release will be geared towards going over the feature request section of the g+ community
*with 7.1.2 google updated the radio and boot loader i suggest fast-booting those as well
