unrelated security question, for anyone that might know. i was thinking about security today, because my phone has no encryption (both system and userdata).
However, with purenexus rom if your phone is ON and it's stolen, you can essentially prevent someone from booting into recovery since the normal power menu is not available (via purenexus settings) and pressing and holding the power button for 10 secs just reboots the phone into OS again which is still locked. Also, the USB defaults to charging, so data is inaccessible, and I've disabled the quick pulldown from the lock screen as well so data/wifi/airplanemode cannot be toggled.
is there a way for a would-be thief to boot into recovery in a situation such as this to access your data and/or format the phone?
