Wow, hoping this is a joke... and not seriously complaining on all the new builds. Love the frequent updates fusionjack. Much appreciated :)
Heh, would I REALLY complain about new flashables? ;)

But seriously, I want to make sure I don't start something that will end up pointless by the time I finish. I have over 600 user apps; do you have any idea how long that takes to restore? *shudder*

Whatever the plan, keep up the good work, FJ. You make me glad that I jumped to lollipop when I did :).

Bad XDA user, no eta's.

That said, looking at his download page, he releases almost everyday. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=21887
Woah, woah, woah! Watch where you swing the "E Phrase" hammer! I was just being jocular.... Guess I should be more careful. Sorry!

Changes:
  • QuickTiles: LTE tile
I don't have LTE mobile contract, so I can't test this.
  • QuickTiles: Lockscreen tile
I think this will only work on non secured lockscreen
  • QuickSettings: Fix double ADB tiles
  • Bluetooth: An attempt to fix audio issue
  • InteractiveGovernor: Fix hispeed frequency to get jank-free scrolling in apps
  • Audio: Rebased
  • See changelog for the rest of changes
We will soon have circle screen off gesture to start camera. Unfortunately, currently it doesn't work on secured lockscreen.
The music control gestures cannot be configurable (yet)
I didn't include the AudioFX quick tile as it is not stable yet. It shows the current music visualization...a nice to have tile :)

Sorry to ask. Have you enabled the build.promp so we can disable the soft buttons?

5Ghz and 2.4Ghz, performance is the same.
In my experience.
someone posted and said that he has issue with 5ghz wifi. i don't have it, so can't test
Is the build on stock kernel or using AK
stock
Is there a way to get the layers you apply to stay after a ROM update

Sent from my A0001 using XDA Free mobile app
@kantjer posted a how-to yesterday. search previous build release summary. it is linked there.
you need to put an extra backup tool script.
I'm having issues seeing the wake locks under the performance tab, it's saying there is no kernel wake lock file. Do you guys have the same issues?
yeah, i noticed that too yesterday. i didn't have time to take a look. it is probably a permission issue

Hi all,

Loving this ROM very stable and fast.
However, wanted to ask can i directly flash when there is a new build? (without wiping davik, system, cache etc)

Thanks guys.

QuickTiles: LTE tile
I don't have LTE mobile contract, so I can't test this.

So with LTE tile on, clicking the tile wont turn it to 3G in fact under the Preferred network type i have
Invalid Network Mode (20). Ignore.

On the other hand if i manually set to 3G the tile correctly greys out

Well, that annoying effect that I've described previously over bt seems to be gone but I'm still testing... But I'm getting bt disconnections after some time... Will carry on...

Thanks mate!
@fusionjack

Things look a lot better but they still exist... Tested a few more times and that crackling doesn't want to go way (unless I set 2 cores always on!).

Another issue: When setting volume with volume keys, it starts to go all the way up without stopping... Eish! Setting it manually seems to minimize this effect.

All this happens under BT. Nevertheless I really appreciate your efforts mate. [emoji106]

What kernel are you using, AFAIK when using stock kernel there are always minimal 2 cores active.

Perhaps it's good to also add this to the Goodies section on the first page.
done, thanks :good:

at least on mine, if i turn on the LTE tile, the preferred network type switched to LTE and if the LTE tile is off, it switches back to 3G.
you need to set the preferred network at least once so that the invalid network error doesn't come up.

like kantjer said, i also believe that stock kernel always uses 2 cores online.
make sure also that you don't flash any mod that replaces the audio_policy.conf because the attempt fix is there.
anyway thanks for testing. like Steve said, there is still something to do in this area.

    Disclaimer
I'm not responsible for any damages on your device.

Some of you perhaps already know me from SlimSaber i9100 thread. My focus is to optimize the ROM in many areas and compiled it with custom toolchain Uber for more performance and smoothness.
I choose SlimRoms as a base because it is a lightweight and not a bloated ROM, but it still has rich features. Combined with some of CM features, I bake a ROM that has more useful features but still lightweight.
The ROM and the kernel are tested by me first before I make it available online. I could have overseen something during testing, please be understand.

    Installation instructions
Coming from 5.1.1 or another ROM:
    • Follow the guide how to unlock bootloader and install custom recovery from here
    • Flash TWRP 3.0 from this thread
    • Full wipe: system, data, cache and dalvik cache.
    • Flash 20150515 firmware if you haven't flash it yet. Refer to the FAQ on second post for more information.
    • Flash SlimSaber build.
    • Flash Marshmallow gapps (6.0, arm, pico) from OpenGapps
    • Flash systemless SuperSU >= 2.67 from this thread
    Coming from previous SlimSaber build:
    • Flash the SlimSaber build.
    • Flash systemless SuperSU
    • No need to wipe dalvik-cache. The system will do it anyway if it needs to.
    • No need to re-flash gapps. Gapps will be restored back automatically by backup tool during flashing.

    Chamber of Secrets
In my opinion, this is the most powerful Slim feature ever implemented. However this is a dangerous feature which is hidden by default.

    How to enable it:
    • Go to Development Settings - Scroll to the bottom - Tap the empty area
    How to use it:
    • Go to your home screen
    • Add a widget and choose Slim Shortcuts
Since it is a type of shortcut, you can use it somewhere else, e.g. in Nova launcher's gesture.
    • Click Chamber of Secrets
    • Go to https://github.com/SlimSaber/frameworks_base/blob/lp5.1/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java and pick one of settings name
    • There are two types of settings: A switch setting and a value-based setting
If you are unsure about the setting type, don't use this setting because which value that will be used is matter. You could end up with continuous FC or even a full wipe.
    • Example for switch setting: show_alarm_icon
      • Enter the setting name "show_alarm_icon"
      • Answer Switch question to "yes"
    • Example for value-based setting: statusbar_clock_style
      • Enter the setting name "statusbar_clock_style"
      • Answer Switch question to "no"
      • Enter the possible value: "0,1,2"
      • If you aren't sure about the values, don't use this setting

If you haven't flash CM12 firmwares, you need to flash it. Refer to the CM12 firmwares FAQ.
If you already have flashed it, check and change your APN. Don't use the IPv6 APN, here is how to do it.
If all above methods don't work, then you need to use the old 44S modem with an older sensor blob. You still need CM12 firmwares.
Here are the steps of using the old modem:
If you dirty flash a new build, you need to flash the older sensor blob again, but you don't need to flash the 44S modem again.

How to use SlimSaber Lollipop along with KitKat with Multirom

I have a bootloop when flashing build 01/18 onwards
What is CM12 firmwares and how to flash it
    • CM12 firmwares are the firmwares that are pulled from CM12 nightly and starting from build 20150118 onwards, it is mandatory to flash these firmwares prior flashing the rom. Otherwise you'll end up with bootloop.
    • The zip file contains 8 firmwares including the Alpha modem for the partition: emmc_appsboot.mbn, logo.bin, NON-HLOS.bin, rpm.mbn, sbl1.mbn, sdi.mbn, static_nvbk.bin, and tz.mbn
    • If you are using Multirom, don't flash it through Multirom menu. Flash it through the main TWRP menu "Install".
    • If you see a bigger "OnePlus One" logo, then you have successfully flashed CM12 firmwares.
    • You just need to flash this only once as these firmwares are shared among all roms. This means if you flashed CM12 firmwares, then you cannot use KK roms. Refer to the next FAQ for downgrade possibility.

I decided to use OmniROM as based for SlimSaber 6.0. I like Omni since it isn't bloated with many features. The additional features are really minimal. It is simply different from CM based roms.
I added only some commits that I think good to have, mostly to disable debug stuff and little optimizations. It is actually still early to be a SlimSaber, but I want to share it with you.
For installation, I'm using TWRP 2.8.7 and OpenGapps 6.0 pico package. Omni doesn't have built-in root, so you need to flash supersu.
No changelog right now and I still didn't have time to update my github, sorry builders :(

A: Like the standard repacked TWRP, but it has an additional menu 'MultiROM' to be used to install secondary ROMs.
