Thank you for this great ROM

Hello Schischu,

thank you for this great ROM. I have tested it for a short while and think that it runs smooth and stable. :):good:

The only real problem for me was the missing GPS (...I was not able to find or even see any satellites at all...), so I had to switch back to another ROM. :crying:

Is there any way to fix this problem? Or may be some kind of "workaround"?

Would be cool if you can solve this issue soon. :fingers-crossed:

Greetings.

Heiko

Hi, just a question. Do you get palm rejection when using the stylus with a custom rom like this? Thanks in advance
Stylus works like it should, just without the S-Pen toggle that normally pops up when you take out the pen.
I'm currently running 4.4.2 on my p605. Is there any additional things i need to do to flash this rom? Is there a link to the latest twrp that works with this rom?
I would suggest to update to Stock 5.1.1 using Samsung Kies to update Bootloader and Radio, after that standard procedure flashing a rom by using TWRP, you have to format your SD Card after flashing since only FAT32 is working properly.

OK, I have successfully updated to stock 5.1.1 SEE via Kies. Having problems with the following restart just shuts down, sim card is not recognised, and wifi works but does not remember password.
I have been searching and tried all that I could to find a solution but there is very little about, or I'm just badly searching. Has anyone else come accross these issues and how did you resolve them?
Want to get 5.1.1 fully working before moving onto 6.0.1.

Desperately seeking help.

There's a thread somewhere about flashing the various parts of the stock ROM via Odin...

Okay, that's weird, have you tried to do a factory reset?

Been searching for a few hours now and no success on finding a solution or the modem or radio files to flash manually. I have fixed the gmail problem, but the wifi passwords not being saved, restarting, and not detecting sim card is still present, even after factory reset.

If anyone has a solution to all or only one of these issues please, or any links to where to find the individual file downloads for the firmware, or to solutions would be really appreciated.

just done, still the same

I had the same problem. :D - Good news: ... you can fix the problem / bad news: ... you need to flash again!

Solution (I already described it in German yesterday on another forum). - Here is the short description:

Don't forget to make a backup copy of your personal data at first, because this method will end in a factory reset and everything on the internal memory will be lost without backup!
download the NEE stock rom with SamFirm [High Speed][FW-Downloader] v0.3.3
flash the unpacked .ZIP-file with Odin v3.10.7: BL_xxx on BL, AP_xxx on AP, CP_xxx on CP and CSC_xxx on CSC, leave UMS empty!
now, if you like, also flash TWRP v2.8.7.0 with Odin (AP), the same way, after having shut down and having put the device again into dowload-mode (Attention: this rises the "Knox-Counter" (warranty) and changes the device-status into "custom" on the OTA update page: no OTA updates will be possible then, though you can still update the P605 device with Samsung Kies 3 then.)

* It is very important, that you download the stock-rom file with "*Binary Nature [x]" mode activated, because it contains the PIT-file within the CSC package, that is used to reset/repair the device!

(See also post #163 of the SamFirm-Tool description-thread.)
Try the above...

use the samfirm tool here to download a local copy of your stock ROM and ODIN flash it.

that will reflash the modem + bootloader for you, and should resolve the issue.

so, it turns out when you format a sd card in MM it maxes file size at 4gb
also formatting to internal storage fails

any workarounds/fixes so i can put files larger than 4gb on my sd card? (HD Movies)

No, r/w is only possible with FAT32, so no files larger then 4GB, sorry. Someone few pages back has mentioned an app which helps you to mount NTFS formatted SD cards, but only read.

There is no solution to that well known issue at the moment. Schischu has mentioned to probably fix that problem. But I don't think this will happen before Android N release.
