Howdy! I'm having a slight issue with my SM-J500H, Philippines. I installed this ROM after testing a multitude of others that either constantly boot looped after install or wouldn't boot at all. Things were going great until I rebooted the phone and got the "Custom binary blocked by FRP" error. The phone wont boot or go to recovery. I can only go into download mode. At the time was on the 6.01 BL and modem provided by Zonik.

I've since tried KIES to restore the device but refuses to load anything onto the phone. I've tried a refresh and emergency recovery but it gives me an error every time. I was going to try to reload the software with Odin but I haven't been able to find the stock Philippines rom online and I'm unsure whether to try a different locale's rom.

Any ideas?

edit: I tried loading a stock rom through Odin and got "custom binary blocked by FRP" message on the Downloading screen :-\

Kies is deprecated try with SmartSwitch. And to avoid FRP you should go to developers options in settings and turn on OEM unlock and debugging. The answer for your questions where posted in several threads in these forums.

Enter into the Custom Recovery and then go to Wipe tab. Inside that go to Advanced Wipe tab. There wipe Cache , Dalvik cache , Data and System.
These wipes are required for flashing and using this rom successfully:good:

i've followed all your instruction but when it boots, it turns green with stripes then goes black with lines, i've waited 20 to 30 minutes but nothing happens, please help me with this,

You need the right Model of your phone, and you need to to be in Version Mashmallow 6.0.1 and to flash the ROM custom with TWRP Aroma.

Yes tested and work like a charm in model J500FN

maybe that's the problem, i'm using J500FZHS1AQC2 which don't have a marshmallow update,

Thanks for the reply. I actually did try smartswitch as well but got the same error that FRP blocked the installation. I previously searched the forums but the comments didnt seem to apply to my situation. I cant boot anything except download mode (including recovery) so going into dev options is not possible.

btw its nice to see you again in this forum zonik, last time i checked xda forum you are inactive and thread closed so i decided to stay in perfolite speed v1 for a lobg time.

Sorry guys I'm going to close this thread, try to make this rom stable, but some models had problems with reboots or it took time to turn on every reboot. That is why I will stop this thread, I was loaned J5 only for 2 days, I will give me a little time to make a better rom than this. (I hope I have enough time) Thanks to all who tried this rom
