I am actually looking at a rebase which will be best for our device , as I am unable to fix a lot of stuff here (I'm sorry). Any suggestions , guys ?
Slim base is the Best.

Tipsy rom that is slim based is the fastest of all for op3
Try and will see how op3 is fastest and smoothest
Slim base definitely is the Best with substratum support of course

I can give a suggestion. Try considering. Don't try for a "all-feature" ROM. Instead go for clean CM13 . Just change your builds with the base of the latest snapshot nightly build. Use 03, graphite for faster performance. ODEX for faster boots. Underclock for reduced heat( do give an option for normal frequencies.) Use all the libraries of sultan and merge the pocket mode and sRGB. That'd give the best "FOR NOW"

oneplus one had rr build with sultans rom base. they took all goodness of sultan's rom and rr features and made one rom. if this comes to oneplus 3, then it will be the best of all roms.

I've had good luck with Orion but it is not as customizeable (sp?). It is Slim based also, very snappy. I get a lot of data drops after handoff from wifi with Tipsy and Tesla

can anyone explain how these compile optimization improves device performance ?
I am asking this because most famous developers (e.g arter, flar2) hates these optimization.

Hey Manav,
Let me tell you something. KryoRemiX was good, Kryo-AICP was good; but let me point out one issue with each ROM.
KryoRemiX was based on ResurrectionRemix. This is definitely a good choice, but absolutely NO ONE uses all the features of the ROM. It has way too much features, which in turn sacrifice some valuable performance and/or battery life. That was the issue I found with KryoRemiX.
Kryo-AICP was a good ROM too, but there are much better ROMs out there with a better user experience than AICP.

My opinion would be to rebase your ROM on the best of both worlds - a decent number of NEEDED features and slim enough to give us a good battery life and performance. I vote for a rebase on PureCM/ParanoidAndroid(aospa).

Thanks for the ROM!

Errr.. I use all of those features.. And i know many people from the official rr slack channel who also used all of the features. If you don't use all of it, don't generalize it.

Besides, we already have too many variants of CM rom, also several variants of OOS rom. So i think there's nothing wrong if he choose RR as his base.

If you want to go slim, choose one of oos based or cm plain vanilla based roms.

Let me say that I've just gotten my phone, and flashed this ROM immediately. It is a very smooth ROM, and has no issues others other than the volume slider not working. The base is fine imo.

Brother, just so you know, everything in the ROM is working well for me. Alert Slider and Off Screen Gestures are both working fine. Skype is working fine, no FC. I really like this ROM and will be using it as my daily for the next 3-4 weeks. Battery life is as good as I got on stock, if not better, and I feel that everything is working as smoothly as it does on stock, once again, as good if not better. Thank you very much for your great work sir. I, and I'm sure most others that use your ROM, appreciate your work very much. Peace to you and many blessings.
How'd you get your slider to work?

Maybe AOSPA is OK too, but if not that, at least AOSP. But between all the choices, you have my vote on Slim. Let me add in a few things.

I believe everyone should be focusing on less. People say less is more and that’s becoming more true than many of us can imagine. Many of the mods found in ROMs are just there and nobody are really using them. Now before any of the l33t android mod activists argue, let me just say that this doesn’t mean that we should go as minimal as AOSP stock. There are quite a few welcoming features, such as setting up System profiles, built-in wakelock blocking, and the ability to change the recents (Slim Recents is in my opinion WAY better than Google Stock recents). What I mean is that things like 'gesture anywhere', 'app circlebar' , 'halo', and a few other mods should be a thing of the past. This, in turn, should give the ROM more performance, better battery and stability, and more breathing room for the developers to add in specific optimizations. Compared to CM-based ROMs on this forum, I was able to pull an additional hour of device usage on Slim.

@nazerro I don't mean to generalize or insult you, but most of the people do not use such a number of extensive features. If we need those features, we can add them via some mods. This ensures our device has the features need and it stays slim. In my opinion, ParanoidAndroid ROM is very smooth and stable and has all the features we need. I vote for ParanoidAndroid ROM.

Relax bro, i didn't felt insulted at all. But afaik, adding features through mods for instance gravity box will cause a higher battery drain and more troubles in rom stability. That's why devs added those features merged inside the rom.

Yeah, you are right. But that's why I chose ParanoidAndroid ROM for a rebase. It's got enough features for most users while staying slim enough.
