Yeah, you are right. But that's why I chose ParanoidAndroid ROM for a rebase. It's got enough features for most users while staying slim enough.
Well, basically I'm a fan of aosp based roms since I'm with my old nexus 4. But since no aosp roms are compatible with arter's kernel atm, then it's a no go for me.

I'll still vote for RR, but please make it compatible with /system f2fs. There's still no single rom except arter's CM13 which supports /system f2fs. Please don’t ask why i want to go f2fs on /system. It's an old debate and i'm not going to join in it. There are already too many threads talking about this, you can join them for debate. Lol.

Yep....I know. It sure is a heated debate. But I am staying on ext4 for now. Can't handle f2fs

Yeah.. I just moved to f2fs a while ago. Never done that in my entire life playing with android. That's because i want to push arter's kernel to its full potential. The only hassle in moving to f2fs is pulling and pushing your internal storage files to your PC back and forth. Copy paste through windows explorer always failed before it was finished, and i lost track what file is the latest copied. So the safest way is adb pull and push, and it's a pain in the ass waiting for it to be finished. Lol

Guys , its time to break the silence about the rebase . I have tried many ROMs to find the best configuration for our OP3 , and I found @jgcaap 's builds to be the smoothest and best performing ROM , with decent battery life ( better than stock oxygen , at least ) , So I decided to go for a near stock CM (with a different approach to optimizations )
configuration , with only some added features , and a lot of improvements , and optimizations under the hood , for the best performance , and battery life , as overloading the ROM with features is a performance killer . I present to you the first beta build of Kryo (official release after my test series (it gets over on Saturday) , the build is stable for being a daily driver , but it has only about 30 % of the optimizations (I'll tell you what I have added soon ) , it is still very smooth , so if you want to test and report how is it , here's the link ! : https://mega.nz/#!SwsHQJQY!zP02rdJAMUbtz8S8mvOcg_6eMwY3f3buBOSCRKiXIFY )

Found the build to be in good working order and fast so far. However I found the scrolling to be quite jerky initially. A reboot or settle down period made no difference.

Installed ElementalX kernel and now everything is smooth.

I'm still on Kryo-AICP because I missed this thread (there was no announcement in the old AICP thread); but Kryo-Remix is no more and it's a new beta remix? Can't keep up :eek:

No issues still running KryoAICP though. Is there anything new that requires switching?

One request for this time... Just don't overload features blindly. In fact, just the O3 complier optimizations will be sufficient. Along with this, the main thing that will be beneficial is support for a filesystem called Sdcardfs: read about it(40-50% faster app launch times) . Go for the minimal and the best , make it stable.
