  • Nearly done! Migration cleanup is mostly done. There are a small number of issues left that we continue to work on, but all the heavy lifting is done. Notes & F.A.Q.

Q: Can I use the Screw'd kernel with other ROMs?
A: Technically yes, but why would you do that? The Screw'd kernel is a lightly modded kernel and was implemented specifically for the Screw'd ROM. It will work on AOSP ROMs, but not CM-based ROMs. I feel if you want a custom kernel, then go all out and flash ElementalX or Glitch or faux123's kernel. They have more mods than Screw'd kernel will ever have.

Q: Can you add (insert feature here) from (insert other ROM here) so it can be more like (insert other ROM here)?
A: If they have their source posted, then probably. If I feel it's needed or beneficial to performance then I'll consider it. One thing to remember is that I build this to suit my needs first, and it's release to the public for those who want to use it, but take it as it is. If you want Screw'd to be more like (insert other ROM here) then maybe you should use (insert other ROM here). Screw'd is.................different.

Q: How can I build this myself for another device that I own?
A: Screw'd is completely open-sourced. If you want to build for another device then you can start at my Github manifest page. Remember, it'll be up to you to make the source work with your device, and any device related support from me will be somewhat limited. If you want to be an official device maintainer then let me know.

Your first link takes you to your Hammerhead build. (easy enough to find the Flo builds of course and I've downloaded both anyway as it would be rude not to!). Also, does this have the advanced reboot menu? (its the only optional extra I'm actually bothered about in a rom) Ta.

Sorry about that, tried making 2 threads at the same time.
Links are fixed, and Advanced Reboot is added to the features list.

Don't think I've tried any of your work before, but most impressed with this ROM...

No video playback issues (using chromecast as I'm typing this), afaik the first lollipop rom with full custom init.d options etc.

All in all, very good work...?

Just noticed you are a "Retired Recognised Developer"....

Have you come out of retirement?

Excellent ROM btw...
Thank you.
I came out of retirement in July when I released Exodus. XDA will not acknowledge me as an "out of retirement" dev yet for whatever reason. But with two ROMs w/ custom kernels, supporting two devices, and 6 months of development, i think it's safe to assume I'm out of retirement. ;)
