I'm not sure what he means by unreliable, but my experience with the compass was certainly more satisfactory when I was on Grarak's unofficial CM12.1. I'm not sure if this is related to the sensor, but on CM13 (using Google Maps) the arrow stutters when I turn the phone 360 degrees. Sometimes, it also moves erratically instead of pointing fixedly to one direction (as it did on 12.1). I tried to calibrate the compass through GPS tools to no avail.

The same goes for GPS locking. On 12.1 the signal used to lock as soon as I would open Google Maps, whereas on 13 there's always a lag of a couple of seconds. On third party apps it's even worse, as sometimes they get stuck on trying to get a GPS fix.

I'm not sure whether or not I did a reboot before I tried the compass so I can't comment about that. But you're writing that it works after a reboot yet you're calling it unreliable?
If the compass works after a reboot I wouldn't call it unreliable, and as I said before, my compass does seem to work perfectly fine in Google Maps.

Yes, unreliable because you will never know when it works. Sometimes it works and sometimes it's not working, and I have to do a hard reboot to get it working. If this is workable to you, fine. For me something that is no working 100% of the time is not reliable.

Compass has been very unstable for me as well (especially post 7th July builds). However, the 29th August build got back compass without a reboot. Hope it stays that way.

I've clean flash before. I did that right after I got my new phone. If it is not reflected in changelog, then I think no point to clean flash.

How about trying clean flash to OOS3.0.2, let it boot and then reboot to clean flash CM13/GAPPs? I just did that recently to solve an overheating problem and am now playing Pokemon Go with an accurate compass and GPS, maybe this solution will work for all those with compass/GPS problems?

aiaiai, compass doesn't work anymore in rom 2908. reflash 2708 doesn't work either. Hard reboot doesn't work. reflash gapps doesn't work...

I do a clean flash with the new rom when posted today otherwise I do a clean flash with 2908 this evening. Hope that all works.

No, the hardware blobs doesn't support this yet. You should put pressure on Oneplus as it's their job to add this feature.

In other words, we need an update to OOS or Hydrogen OS with support for VoLTE to be able to include it in CM/AOSP roms.

I'm facing a weird problem. My phone doesn't lock to 2g network on any cm based ROMs, it works fine with 3g and 4g.2g works fine with other ROMs except cm based ROMs . any help is appreciated . also best kernel for battery life and no heating. Not concerned much about performance . stock or any other kernel ?

For those with bluetooth issues.. Can you try the fix outlined here (https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/bluetooth-car-issues-on-13-1-znh2kas1kn.449913/) in post #8. The instructions are for a Oneplus One, but I assume the same concept would work on OPT. Seems like the values 1.6 or 1.5 are working for people. Please let me know if this fixes your issues.

Thanks for the ROM, i have an issue on every CM based ROM, that's not happening on AOSP/CAF based ROMs.
The settings apps is slow, every animation is very fluid but the response to back button had a noticeable delay (like more than half a second). Also selecting the settings app from recent menu is noticeably slower than other apps. It's weird and means that I can't use any CM ROM as daily driver. Anyone else has this issue ? Is there any solution?
I did clean flash. I tried with no Gapps. Issue was not solved.

Despite all the work, compass stays broken after clean install. (Now on 30/08 rom.) Even with hard reboot.

The fix needs to be reworked due to a review comment. I am learning the hooks to implement a sensor HAL to filter out the hardware based rotation vector sensor from the list of available sensors. This change will be done in oneplus2 device code and not spread into frameworks/native (which is common to all devices). The current fix in code review works (I am using it on my private build) but I need to provide a new patch to increase the possibility of getting it accepted.

Example: If you only go for the APK & driver, many music playing apps won't work. Simply not processing - look for the driver info, whilst playing something .

Yes, was on V4A for one month, it never worked with any streaming app. But now on ViperAtmos 5.4. Everything works like a charm.

Hi. I'd like to report atleast one bug.

When I'm trying to open the camera with the 'O' gesture, while the camera is locked, it asks me for a pattern, on which there is a white rectangle, before I start swiping the pattern on the screen. It should just open up the camera, without the rectangle.

And I'm on the latest version, upgraded incrementally.

That doesn't happen to me and I am also on the latest build. Drawing the O gesture simply opens the camera.
