  • What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices. The ROM will now also feature a White Indigo theme for all the ROM (framework, Settings and so on) and of course the newest Xperia Applications ported from the SystemDumps provided by the Sony community.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP.
  • Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

I get the following error when trying to flash in twrp;

"error executing updater binary in zip"
Are you using the 35b bootstack? If not then that is your issue. I believe you can also alternatively flash the 35b modem, then rom, then gapps and xperia apps, then flash the 23c or 24b modem in order to stay on the bootstack you are currently on. All newer CM based roms require 35b modem in order to flash.

^ Wow they are using a modem with no way to install twrp? Crazy. I am on 10b can I still do as you described?
The modem (35b) has been packaged into a modified bootstack by Xdabbeb in Xdabbeb's vs985 35b thread. It includes the aboot (bootloader) from 10b or (12b) I can't remember which, in order to keep twrp recovery. You just need to visit that thread in LG G3 Verizon android development and download the 35b bootstack. Then go to twrp recovery and flash the 35b bootstack. Once flashing finishes, backout of install and reboot your recovery back into recovery. Then you can flash the rom, gapps, xapps and then the rom will boot for you. All newer aosp and cm based roms are requiring the 35b sources so you might as well get it done and over with because no matter what Marshmallow rom you want to flash you will need to be on 35b.

The bootloader is 12b I checked. I am on 10b so this means that I will need to use kdz to upgrade to 12b before correct? That is the part that I am confused about.

*Update* I decided to just go for it. Everything worked as you said. Cheers and thanks for the help. This is a nice looking ROM and I love that Viper is built in.

OP, could you please release a D855 16GB build?? It'd be really great if you let us know the estimate time frame of release? Plus I'd be happy to Test it for you.
