Hi @herna

I have seen some users asking about it, and didn't want to invade your rom thread by posting a build. I have implemented DT2S from Dirty Unicorns into Omni's BARS screen. I tried to submit it on gerrit, but keep getting an error. If you are interested, it is on my github (ChoznJuan) in frameworks & OmniGears. Thanks again for the awesome work.

Hello guys! A new build is here!

Hey herna I know I'm not in a position to be asking this but is there any plans for power menu customization. The way omni has it makes any editing with gravitybox or apm soft reboot when power button is held. I'm missing the screen record function quite badly.

Okay, so I tried to install this ROM but when I flash the Gapps it fails to install them.

After a few try, I decided to boot my phone and surprise, I have the play services. The phone is working fine as for now but it seems the doze mode doesn't work. I don't lose any battery when I have in battery saver though. On another ROM, I didn't have to do such a thing.
Do you guys have the doze mode feature? Or do you need to do the same thing as me ?

Plus, Snapdragon camera doesn't work. I have this message "Gallery has stoppped". But it does work when I launch the app from the lock screen. Other camera app, like the google one works just fine.

Hello guys!

A new update is on the kitchen, and this one provides a few cool things to play with that are explained in this changelog:

* Unlink notification volume is back: Now we can split ring and notifications volume by enabling/disabling it on Settings->Sound
* Move lockscreen wallpaper to display: Some users did not even know we had this feature implemented, but I moved it to its correctly place so you can find it easier and play with it.
* Move UI tuner to developer settings: Quicksettings rearrangement has been moved to bars, and the rest of option moved to Developer Options section in Settings.
* Bring back screen record shortcut: This was one of our oldest features from KK, and we added it again. You can record the screen by longpressing volume up+power at the same time.
* OmniSwitch welcome to 6.0: We have updated OmniSwitch to Marshmallow.

As always, download link at the OP!

PD1: Double tap to sleep on statusbar will be added in next build, and probably also the double tap to sleep in navigation bar/buttons, but it does not depends on me.
PD2: Power menu customization will come in the future, but is not a priority now.
PD3: For people having issues with Snapdragon Camera, please tell me where exactly you touched or what settings did you change. Also I will add 16:9 formats for next build.
PD4: Alarms works good, tried over 50 times for those having errors.
PD5: Speaker volume for calls will be louder on next build.

Thanks and wish you did buy a lot of things in this Black Friday!

@herna
is there support 100 % support for layers? a layers dev told me that omni does not support layers completly
i noticed with commute layer it worked wit 2 versions before but now some parts are not themed anymore...
AOSP Marshmallow supports layers out of the box. Omni 6.0 is based off AOSP, hence it supports layers, probably, 100%. The dev you were talking about might have meant Omni 5.1. It did not support layers.

    Hello guys!

Not as always, this post is not regarding a new build, which I was going to do. I closed this thread for a few minutes, until I was sure what to write and here I am.

After all this weeks collaborating with you, I think we have reached a stable stage of Omni for this device, turning it suitable for daily use.
A new thread(unnecesary for my opinion) was created to share stock builds of OmniRom by the official mantainer for this device, so I will close this one.

Actually I will be uploading my test builds for this device at THIS LINK, so if someone is still interested into using my builds with SnapdragonCamera and other included features you can easily download the builds with its proper changelog.

First, say sorry to those users who could not even boot this ROM, some weird stuff is missing inside kernel that we did not update compared to Oxygen or Cyanogenmod stage. I was actually looking into logs, thanked to some users who contacted me, which I wanna say thanks for spending time on trying to boot and test for me, which is very honorable.

Second, thanks to all of you for providing logs, links, reports or support and of course, for sharing this ROMs to friends so they could test it and enjoy! Some users already told me about keeping this thread alive, but seriously, I don´t want to confuse users, as I don´t see why to.

I bought this device just to get up Marshmallow booting and working fine, and between all of us we got it, so thanks again! Is cool to see than in little more than a month we got over 10,000+ downloads and 220,000+ visits, so cool!

I am still not sure if I will keep it or probably jump for the LG G4, which I´ve been thinking to buy for a few days, since now Christmas is arriving but that still can´t approach, I´m at 50% of the money I need for it. Anyway, I wish you enjoyed my builds as well as I believe you still enjoy them, since for my opinion, they work like a charm.

At the time, this thread will be opened for 24 hours before I close it permanently. Wish you to have a good week!

PD: I´ve added a poll for you can vote if you want me sharing newer builds of Omni, as some users requested me via PM.

Hi guys! I don´t use to make fast releases as I am going to do now, but I think this one deserves it. This is an enormous big release with ton of changes, which are the next:

    * Updated to android-6.0_r26: This includes Ambient Display improvements, double tap on power for enabling camera(thanks Google), and is a release with November security patch.
    * Welcome back Oppo camera binaries!: I did not know about the full potential of the Oppo libraries, which in this build are updated to Color OS 2.1.5i. I´ve worked to implement Snapdragon Camera for using those libs, and it works perfect, overall the videos, are amazing.
    * NFC finally fixed forever: No more playing with NFC, currently fixed in a good way that will be merged tomorrow into our sources.

As you can see those are small changes, but really important. Just to notice users, the newer adreno libs are not implemented in this build, just for testing. I wish you all enjoy those 50 MPs pictures and proffesional mode(I´m liking it) from Color OS camera. Also with those blobs there are no more errors with flashlight in gestures or quicksettings.

    As always, update in OP!

PD: Dark Mode is coming soon, I had a lot of work with it.

Hello guys! A new build is here!

After some reports of users, we gave a look to the kernel and we got some cool stuff and errors fixed. The changelog is the next one:

    * Fixed recovery issue: now we can officially flash Omni over stock TWRP, not needed anymore the suggested TWRP one the OP. Hopefully(not sure), maybe this can make users without booting ROM to work, as well as this fixes the reboot thing that happened using the official TWRP(confirmed).
    * Fixed torch/flashlight issue: Now there will not be any error with enabling flashlight from statusbar and your device will sleep extremely good.
    * Dark theme is here!: Dark theme has been added, and available at Settings->Display. At the moment I only got ready for dark theme Settings and fw base as on the Developer releases by Google and themed Launcher. Soon I´ll be adding dark theme support to other ROM apps so we can have a very complete toggle and dark UI based on Google Dark Theme.

The sad part for this, is that as an experimental build as all my releases have been, NFC is still not working. We were using a prebuilt one and we are focusing into get stock NFC compilable, so at this moment it´s OFF. I am very sorry for this, we will work hard to get it up again and hopefully fixed for next release.

As always, enjoy the ROM which can be downloaded at OP!

    Hello guys!

After the post I did a few days ago and your replies and votes on the poll, I will continue sharing newer builds of OmniRom with some of the stuff I like. First of all, thanks @Mich2027 for that kind donation, I´m sure it will help on getting the new device!

As I always do, here is the changelog for this release:

    * Android 6.0.1_r3: Updated to latest Android release branch with its new features and 1st December patch.
    * Double tap to sleep: Now you can send your phone to sleep by double taping on status bar. Option at Bars.
    * Enable voice lockscreen shortcut: Now you can select if you want the Google voice shortcut at lockscreen or the dialer one. Option at Lockscreen, in the Interface section.
    * Welcome back More: Re-added again More settings, available at Interface.
    * Full screen recents: Now you can enable fullscreen recents, available at More.
    * Add option to disable search bar in recents: Now you can hide the search bar in recents, available at More.
    * Launcher 3 welcomes dark mode: Now Launcher will change it´s look to dark mode if it´s enabled.
    * DayNight improve storage summary: Now storage section is fully finished for Dark Mode.
    * Header image packs: Now you can choose what images you want for the statusbar header image feature at bars. All information in maxwen github.

    So...download at OP.
