Per the OP, the mod is there and should be on settings.

Do you have Xposed framework installed with Firefds or XTouch modules installed? They are known to cause problems with hotspot mod not showing in settings due to creation of /system/csc/features.xml each time the module is opened.

If this happens, delete features.xml before reboot and anytime you open those modules (you don't need both modules; Firefds is a rewrite of the other). If it already caused a problem, delete it and reboot.

I don't know if that's your issue but to complete my input on Firefds Xposed module, the 2 oldest stable releases of the module will not create unneeded features.xml, so with those versions, the Firefds module can be opened without creating features.xml which means no need to look for it and delete before reboot.

If you look in Xposed Installer downloads, the Firefds stable versions 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 are still available for download.

You must manually uninstall the newer versions if switching to older versions. IIRC, installation of older version over newer version just fails to install. The app manager or titanium backup should do but I typically disable the module and reboot before uninstalling it.

I knew of the first one. A recent poster said 1.0.2 was also functional for the UN7 ROM; doesn't create features.xml

So I was suggesting both are good but don't think I've ever tried 1.0.2

Follow up: as you described, the above file is not available in the system; is the file "liboemcrypto.so" you mean?

Yes, delete /system/vendor/lib/liboemcrypto.so and reboot.

This is the fix noted in OP to fix Netflix, hulu and Google Play video errors.

I've been using this ROM for a few days now and so far so good. ROM is working great without any root or xposed related issues. Hope to see more of your work up here Saint.

I would suggest for you to Odin full stock PH4 from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312978532265361809
Thread is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3250864
Thank LMMT in that thread.

This is the latest update. You will lose root and recovery. So, do the following.
Get into download mode:
1. Odin PH4 let it boot.
2. Odin recovery
Get into recovery:
3. Flash (SU 2.68) from here to get root back
http://rootmygalaxy.net/download-supersu-v2-65-marshmallow-root-package/
4. Flash this ROM.

Is this still current? I'm currently still on KitKat (4.4.4 [NIE]). It's been working fine, but looks like I need to update the ROM. I was going to go with this ROM or [03/15/2017] [ROM] [N910PVPS4DQB3] [100% Stock, DeOdexed N910PVPS4DQB3] (it's more current (QB3). I was planning to do update this weekend, probably Sunday.

There use to be stickies on rooting from various versions. I remember there were some quirks when going Andriod 4.4 to Andriod 5.x. I like the stock rom, I just want to be rooted, deknoxed, deoxidized, debloated and so forth. It's been awhile since I've been on the site, and things have changed a bit.

On a side note, I didn't realize the phone got updated to Android 6.
