I had this issue on my note 2 cm 13 as well i changed my screen lock to "slide to open" option then it went away I set up a password right after and have not had an issue sinceSo I assume I must be the only one having the lock screen issue, I am running the German version of MM if that might be the cause, idk, only thing I could think of that might be different about my system. So should I just do a factory reset and see if that will solve my issue? Strange how it seems I am the only one having this issue with the locked tray going on with the updates of 7/22 on. I figured others had experienced it also and maybe fixed it.
I hope the device will be fixed, they have the nasty Knox warranty void stuff now.I am sorry to hear about your T-810 and it's hardware issues..... For a minute I thought your development on the T-810 would come to an end.
Thank you for all you do and if I can help in any way don't hesitate to ask.
That's really kind of bogus. Simply rooting won't cause hardware issues like charging port malfunction. That's just a plain simple cop out. To bad there's no wireless charging on this sucker.I hope the device will be fixed, they have the nasty Knox warranty void stuff now.
When they try to hide behind Knox for a faulty charger port, then I think I'll reconsider my work on any Samsung device I don't own.
Indeed, when they try it... in Germany they can't, as hardware issues with ports can never be software related. On the other hand, The Netherlands are a bit more pro company. We'll wait and see. That's really kind of bogus. Simply rooting won't cause hardware issues like charging port malfunction. That's just a plain simple cop out. I am already on CM 12.1. Why would I need to reinstall mm stock again?1 st create a full nandroid. 2nd titanium backup of all apps. For cm 13 to work you need to install mm stock first afaik. After that i would flash cm after wiping (see instructions on 1st page) an restore apps and settings via titanium.
hf and good luck
I have lost Wifi access with CM 12.1 for no obvious reason - see separate thread in the Help forum, prior to losing it, however, I got notified about nightly builds of CM 13 in settings which I believe I could have downloaded from there and installed. I did not do not, however, but now have CM 13 on the sdcard ready to be installed.Read 1st action in the instructions , first page.
The first page with instructions does not specifically address upgrading from CM 12.1, hence my question.Well if you are brave enough give it a try , but i trust Ti , if he tells us to flash stock via odin before
If don`t mind a maybe not booting device .. go ahead.
Still i suggest to have a nandroid ready
God speed
Let us know if it went well ...

Won't work. The stock MM upgrade via Odin resizes the partitions. Dirty flashing this ROM via TWRP doesn't and neither will wiping for a clean flash. Wiping erases the partitions but doesn't resize them.Ok, understood, then you have to wait for some else to answer. I think i just remember while Ti was working on a cm 12 for our tablet he mentionend in the cm 13 unofficial that its mandatory to flash mm stock even with his cm 12 before.
Anyhow if you have a nandroid backup you can just give it a try to dirty flash the cm 13, not sure what the cm upgrade process does in detail. Sorry.
Still, good luck and hf
It not only resizes, but adds a partition (when I'm correct) which has MM specific code in it. When you don;t have that partition, it just won't boot.Won't work. OK, not sure I quite understand what would be the path to upgrade from CM 12.1 to the latest build of CM 13.0 then?It not only resizes, but adds a partition (when I'm correct) which has MM specific code in it. When you don;t have that partition, it just won't boot.
I tried the dirty path myself, even the clean path without stock MM on the device. When it hasn't been on the device (which it wasn't on mine, as it got CM12.1 as soon as I got it compiling) the device will just show the Samsung splash screen until the battery dies.
The instructions in the OP state clearly what you have to do. You must use Odin to flash the stock MM and TWRP. Only then can you download this ROM to the tablet and use TWRP to wipe, and then flash the ROM and gapps.OK, not sure I quite understand what would be the path to upgrade from CM 12.1 to the latest build of CM 13.0 then?
Can I use TWRP to install CM 13.0 over CM 12.1? Or what do I need to do?
The background is that I have been running the unofficial CM 12.1 release from April on my Tab S2 T-810 since that date but suddenly lost WiFi access where the WiFi button is darket grey than the Bluetooth button and it is not possible to turn WiFi on again. No reason as far as I know for this sudden loss: not installed any new software, no new OS, and battery was still at 71%...
I thought I might as well go to CM 13 but do not want to lose any data or settings.
Thank you.
