Why would you flash the LP modem on an MM based ROM? Also, why are you flashing this one? CM13 is done, CM14.1 is dead thanks to Cyanogen, and there's an official build of EmotionOS now.

Searching for a solution (before I ask for help) I came across this post
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67055733&postcount=2045
Reading through the emotion posts, is sounded like there were alot of problems, but I will eventually get on there,,,
Thanks for your reply!

Does fast charging work with this ROM It does not seem to be working for me, is there a setting I have to check, it worked fine with the older build. I did a clean flash of the most recent build any help would be great.

Is anybody going to address the security setting crash issue? I used the search function and it's been mentioned quite a few times and there hasn't been a definitive answer. Not being able to install from unknown sources is a major deal breaker for me, which is a shame because the speed and fluidity of this rom is amazing.

It's been answered. Take off your theme.

No, it wasn't answered. It was assumed that themes were the culprit. I have not installed any themes. Completely default theme, security settings still crash.
You could have said you didn't have themes. It was confirmed that removing themes worked. I'm any case, this ROM is abandoned. Get EmotionOS.

I didn't see it confirmed anywhere. Nobody answered when they were asked if they had any themes running (at least not in this thread). But thanks for letting me know this is abandoned. Seems to be the case for all the CMs I've had on any of my devices in the past. I was already looking into a different ROM anyway because this one won't let me pair with my Gear S2 :crying: .

CM is abandoned because Cyanogen shut the project down. It's called LineageOS now. CM13 was abandoned here because the same developer released CM14.1. That developer is now working for the Emotroid team, giving all Snapdragon Note 4s official builds. EmotionOS is based off of CM.

I know it's a confirmed answer, because it's what worked for me and a few others.

Like any package? I think nano or pico are recommended

Weird, it said I needed a 6.01 Gapps package after flashing CM13 5/25 build. The thing is, I bought this phone and it had 6.01 on it. I originally unlocked that bootloader by using the temp root method and rolled back to 5.1.1 via Odin because I thought that would be easier to root. So maybe unlocking 6.01 originally is going to allow me to flash 6.01 roms. I just flashed Cm13 5/25 which must have been a MM rom because it asked for Gapps for 6.01, which flashed successfully after the 5.11 Gapps failed.

Man, this phone has been a real pain in the rear.

Well, it looks like it booted okay. I have data and wifi and am back on Android 6.01. Maybe doing the oiginal 6.01 bootloader unlock when I first got the phone made the diff. Wow, and here I was looking around for 5.1.1 roms after downgrading. Gonna update to the latest CM I guess, since 5/25 is a MM rom.

Sorry, I just woke up when I wrote that post. Yes, you need to get Gapps for the target ROM, not the bootloader version. Just an FYI, if you're on the BPA1 bootloader the versions of CM13 that I mentioned are the only ones that will work. It was intended to give you a MM ROM on the LP 5.1.1 bootloader so don't update to the latest unless you know that you're on the MM bootloader.

Good idea since I am still actually on the BPA1 bootloader. I'll stay on this build. Thank you again my friend. :good:

Great rom so far but the two main things you want are gone. Airview/Aircommand was removed and now you have to get pay apps to get SOME of it back. Also, the camera, why was the original camera replace? The replacement doesn't have the option to disable the camera sound and the resolutions are lower than the stock camera. Makes no sense. The option to write on the screen without having the screen being on was nice also. Pull out pen, write note on black screen. Save.

This ROM is based on CM13, which is a generic OS for a wide range of phones. Most of the features that you want are only available in TW based ROMs. Airview, Aircommand, screen-off note, and the Samsung camera would all need to be ported over to this ROM to be used, which is a pain because it's pretty involved (you can't just install it):(. There are several different options for cameras though and you can search the thread to find one you like more than the default (google camera is an option).

At this point I would recommend upgrading your bootloader to the latest MM bootloader so you can install the latest ROMs that have the features that your looking for on a MM base. PM me if you have questions :)

    Build Tags:
To avoid confusion with the OFFICIAL CyanogenMod build tags that include Nightly/Developement (every 24 hours, experimental, newest features, unstable) and Snapshot/Release (every 1-2 months, suitable for daily use, devices signed-off by maintainers for inclusion), these UNOFFICIAL builds have two tags:
    • TESTING: include experimental changes to be evaluated and to possibly fix some issues
may be used as daily driver only if they don't break functionality or introduce new issues.
    • STABLE: include tested changes and confirmed bug fixes
      are suitable for daily use.

    Installation instructions:
    • Hit THANKS
    • Make backup
    • Do a full factory reset
    • Flash ROM + Gapps
    • Enjoy!

    [ROM] [6.0.1] CyanogenMod 13.0 [Jul 24, 2016]

I've added a new STABLE build to DEVDB Downloads. Besides upstream CyanogenMod changes, this build incudes experimental changes to be evaluated and to possibly fix some/all of the reported issues.

Users on other variants are welcome.

The ratio of THANKS to DOWNLOADs will measure user satisfaction/appreciation and vote for a newer build.

    Notes:
    • This build requires Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware (N910VVRU2CPF3).
      - You need to be on a Marshmallow bootloader (check this!) and the latest modem
      - Preferably, flash the partial firmware from here to update NON-HLOS, modem, rpm, sbl1, sdi and tz –after upgrading the bootloader and before flashing the new build.
    • You should clean flash this build!
      - If you don't want to wipe everything, skip this build!
      - I'll ignore all posts about dirty flashing or without appropriate logs.
    • For fingerprint, you may need, at the end of fingerprint enrollment, to swipe quilckly one more time so that you get the "Done" message twice.

    [ROM] [6.0.1] CyanogenMod 13.0 [Sep 19, 2016]

While fixing some major bugs on Nougat, I've added a new EXPERIMENTAL build to DEVDB Downloads.

Besides upstream CyanogenMod changes, this build is totally different: it includes a new kernel, enforcing SELinux, and very long list of changes to be reported (it's considered as an initial experimental release of a different ROM). I don't have time to test it; so make backup, as always!

    Notes:
    • This build uses proprietary blobs and configs from the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware (N910VVRU2CPF3).
    • You need to be on a Marshmallow bootloader (check this!) and the latest modem (preferably, flash the partial firmware from here to update NON-HLOS, modem, rpm, sbl1, sdi and tz –after upgrading the bootloader and before flashing the new build).
    • For fingerprint, you may need, at the end of fingerprint enrollment, to swipe quilckly one more time so that you get the "Done" message twice.
    • You can force enable fast charging for any USB cable in Kernel Adiutor.

    Xposed:
This build includes a customized version of Xposed framework (attached bellow):
    • Updated Android RunTime (ART)
    • Optimized and built with Clang
    • Uses Java JDK8 and Android SDK 24
    • Built specifically for trltevzw in full device tree
    • Minor device-specific fixes and tweaks
    • Should work on all ROMs including TouchWiz
    • May work fine on other ARM devices
If Xposed framewrok is not active by default, flash the attached ZIP!
