Twrp honor 8

TWRP HONOR 8 < ONLY > For CyanogenMOD​

Downloads :

- twrp-recovery.img md5 : 87d544123b26a221fbd55d4b925bdfc2


Installations :

- put your device into bootloader mode ( > adb reboot bootloader )

- install via fastboot ( sudo* fastboot flash recovery twrp-recovery.img )

- reboot device ( sudo* fastboot reboot )

- * only on Linux Desktop/Laptop !

Warning :

* recovery not compatible to stock Huawei Firmware !

* please choose cancel, if device ask for password key .

* you can always revert to stock Huawei by using combo key ( but before, make sure that you have a full OTA UPDATE.APP into your MicroSD/dload directory ) .

Awesome...... for which FRD version is it ?

It's compatible with every Honor 8 version.

About the rom, I have tested it and all I can say is that I am impressed! I couldn't detect any lag nor any random freezing. Last night I tried to make it crash but I couldn't do so (although I haven't tested any high performance operation).

About bugs I've noticed, logcat complains about the key master, but I know that's being worked on, and the Browser didn't seem to work for me.

The rom takes a while to install, so wait patiently, it will boot.

To conclude, I'd like to thank @surdu_petru for his work, he got it working in no time and he has always been willing to help with some issues that appeared in the past.

I'll probably buy this phone, so very excited. will wait for the camcorder to work though, as I need a fully working camera for my baby, so hope it can be fixed sooner or later, also because I don't like huwei fw/gapps so I need custom rom working pretty fine

is it maybe related to encryption? in my old (bricked) mi5 when that appeared I could enter 'default_password'... or maybe it is something else?
