Temporary Solution ONLY for Huawei G8 (GX8) single SIM !



Revert "Settings -> Sim cards" to "Settings -> Cellular network "

Extract build.prop :

> adb pull system/build.prop

Edit "build.prop" with any text editor :

* remove this line : persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds

* change : ro.telephony.default_network=9,9 -> ro.telephony.default_network=9

* change : ro.telephony.ril.config=simactivation,sim2gsmonly -> ro.telephony.ril.config=simactivation

Put back into your device build.prop :

> adb push build.prop data/local/tmp/
> adb shell
$ su
# mount -o remount,rw /system
# cp -r data/local/tmp/build.prop system/build.prop
# chmod 0644 system/build.prop
# reboot

That is all : just navigate to Settings and you will see only one SIM !


Starting with 12/06/2016 build, this stuff are no longer required !

Tested... using rio-l01 single sim... At first sim was not detected put taking sim out and back in does the job... After that mobile data/sms worked (calls not tested)... In settings it showed two sim slots but only nr1 worked sim on nr2 not detected... Thanks for your great work..

And, you are 100% sure that you fully respect installation instructions ?

It does not matter, I realized it ONLY works on Huawei RIO-L01 single or dual sim !

Wifi signal is a bit bad ,was right next to My router and the signal would go to 100% for example...
Performance is great ,very fluid and fast.
Still waiting for that camera update
Sometimes everything logs out, facebook ,xda APP etc etc, dont know if that hás anything to do with the ROM but yeah
Also, the mobile signal turns off by itself.

Battery seems to go to 100% after a reboot...

It works on RIO-L01. ROM is excellent. Hope we will have fingerprints, camera and sensors working

    I already started to build CM-14.0 for our device !

    ( please don't ask stupid questions ... when I'll have something stable, I'll release a first beta test ... thanks for understanding )


    Until I'll release a stable CM-14.0 for G8 (GX8) .... in every weekend I'll release a new build for CM-13.0 :)

    FAQ :

    Do Not Try To Use Front HDR Camera :
    * HDR mode for front camera are not working, please do not try to use it !
    * if you'll use HDR mode on front camera device will drain batery very very fast - please, reboot device !

    Fixed my desktop :D

    A new release it's provided for tomorrow : will include fix for battery, wifi signal and all sensors working properly ! Kernel brings also some fixes and updates to M !

    Camera & fingerprint still working in progress !
