Battery drain issues

I have been using this ROM for the past few weeks and it has been relatively stable, recently I have had a few hiccups where my phone freezes for a few seconds but that is to be expected, however I can't even get through a day of medium usage, screen on time of around 2 hours, browsing on data and wi-fi as well as a few light games. I'd expect more than 2 hours of screen on time in a day?

Is anyone else having these issues? Any potential solutions?

Battery drain is massive, if I close all apps and lock the device, don't use it al all, after 30 min I lost 10-15% battery. It heats up 2.

Hey guys,

I have built Lineage OS 13 for the Huawei P9, I can confirm its working fine on the EVA-L09. It might work on other models too, but I'm not able to test that.

The ROM has just 2 little problems, and one of them can be easily fixed.

1. Video Recording in third party apps doesn't always work. (Just use the stock camera app which came with the ROM)
2. Deepsleep isn't working, so when u power of the screen. You'll not be able to power it on. I found a fix for that. You just need to replace 4 libs. I'll post it once I've uploaded the ROM

I saw many people complaining about the bad battery life. I can ensure you that this ROM has great battery life (see attachment)

Currently I'm uploading the ROM, link and installation guide will follow in approximately 1,5 hours

To fix deepsleep replace the libs in /system/lib and /system/lib64
Chmod them to 666 (rw-rw-rw)

Do you have any screenshots with battery life? I will be happy if you share some screenshots with screen on time form 100-10%.

I will make a clean build in the next few days, thread will be there then.

Planned features for the Next build :

- Remove "double tap to wake" switch in settings, as it won't do anything at all
- Add gestures to the settings, you can enable some gestures to toggle the display on. For example "Proximity wake" will wake your device when you take it out of your pocket and etc.

• Battery life is quite bad - 2.5 hours SOT with mild usage (Only real usage is some messaging and ~1.5 hours music with screen off). Stock MM gave me ~3.5 hours minimum with same usage (See screenshots)
• Video recording is still not working properly (with stock camera app). This also occurred in previous builds where the video would be broken upon playback (video image just stops but audio continues)
• Front facing camera still not working properly (works properly while taking picture but final result is corrupted green image)
• Might not be related to this build at all but 'Ambient display' is not working properly as the screen does not turn on when a new notification is received. Occasionally works. At this moment I am unable to pinpoint the circumstances causing the problems.

Everything else is working properly and the build is a joy to use thanks :good: Will be glad to test your 'clean' build when you release

You can use VLC from Google Play to play your videos. I only had problems when recording a video with WhatsApp (or any other 3rd party app)

I will try to fix as much as I can, but just now I'm pretty busy.

Stay tuned, and by the way. Huge thanks for testing it, and very huge thanks for reporting issues.

The ambient display is missing a part of the settings, which I told about. The gesture thing should do the trick though.

If you have time, would you mind getting some logs. Logcat and dmesg. Thanks in advance. You should obtain the logs when u do what causes a bug (e.g. take a picture with front camera)
