As you all already know, Mondays are good days for Exodus and this beloved OP2 :)

Means, I have pushed heavy changes to be included in tomorrow's nightly.

As I will mostly just name what results from these changes you are free and encouraged to check the device tree and kernel by yourself :)

So a VERY brief recap of what's coming in the Monday Nightly:

- adaptive Low Memory Killer (yes, we don't rely on fixed settings any more! Low Memory Killer can detect certain scenarios (thrashing scenarios) and dynamically reconfigure itself.
- further improved task detection in LMK (up to 10 times faster)
- faster touch response due to my improvements in the touchscreen driver
- disabling dexpreopt, which lowers build size and allows us to use a non debug art library (faster)
- above changes made it possible to me to further decrease power consumption without a performance loss (see power script)

Hope you all like the news :)

Hi everybody,

I installed it and quiet satisfied..works smoothly....except that I can't dial , the phone is rebooting immediatly. I used default app manager to set up 'phone' as default dialer, but still doesnt work...

does somebody know what to do ?
Alex, I have cleaned installed today 5/13 again with open gapps stock from today 5/15 , and my dialer cause reboots as well. I can't get you a logcat currently... I did not have it before, dirty flashing 5/13 over the previous. I hope it needs something simple to work.

So, on Monday you insert new features/development. And on Wednesday and Friday, you try to fix bug inserted with these new features :). Am I right?

Features are added as and when the creative juices flow and eureka moments occur.

Bugs are squashed as and when they can be (there's always a small bug or a scope for an improvement). Each build aims to improve on previous builds.

Correct me if I'm wrong, @TheCrazyLex

just clean installed this rom and I'm impressed how good/fast it works compared to cm13! just a little thing, changing the wifi AP in quick settings doesn't work..

Yea, it's a known bug.

Seems to me that @TheCrazyLex is busy making the ROM performance more awesome and squashing bugs. Even Raja had then acknowledged this bug but it was a low priority so it's been allowed to slide so far...

My bad.

Let's call it Work-In-Progress ?

@ghbuur

I see you've ported the OOS3 camera for AOSP. Mind letting us know how it performs on this ROM, and specially when compared to the default ROM camera? Thanks.

No theme. Stock.

This is Xposed module - Android Nify. Though you'd have to install it from its own site and not from within Xposed.

OK thank you. I can't use it because I don't use xposed since I read from @TheCrazyLex that using xposed remove his optimizations. I prefer to go stock, pretty amazing battery life and responsiveness.

sure, I'd say it's absolutely worth for daily use. until now i was using CM13 but as you saw it works on this rom too. made some test shots and it works like before. stock cam to me just gives grainy photos, on OOS3 cam they are pretty clear. and all important features like time-lapse, slowmo, 4k, panorama etc. are working, except those little things noted on OP. guess not many are affected by those but I'm still trying to fix it ;)

Right. I probably missed that post that Xposed affected performance and battery life... I use a couple of modules. Personally, get a decent performance and battery life, but yes, Xposed is never officially supported, and if one does flash it, it might adversely interfere with the system...
