I really don't know why ChefChaudat responded at all - his choice I guess to make the thread contentious, I agree with you that it shouldn't be. I meant no disrespect, I provided the information that network segment made no difference to the audio problems I was having. Those same audio problems theCrazyLex previous said were 'fixed in the latest nightly' - so I figure theCrazyLex knew it was an issue, and might be interested that the network wasn't part of the problem I was seeing (hearing) - but maybe theCrazyLex doesn't need that information - that's fine, just say that. I tested phone calls on three segments here in my city, thought that might be interesting - guess not. Segments being two or more towers NOT used in previous tests, so driving until I'm out of range of previous towers blah blah - you know the drill I'm sure. It's a dense city so it's not too terribly far. If by disparaging the phone I somehow insulted someone personally, well honestly I think that's silly. Most people I know who had a OPO and opted to go tot he OP2 were disappointed in general.
I'm not sure how stating that the phone isn't very good personally insults someone. That's a head scratcher to me - there are more important things to get yourself all upset about that defending a phone. Trump - get mad about him - don't worry if someone doesn't like your fave phone.
may i ask with all respect what you find not good, i mean i own 7 phones, 2 samsung notes 3 nexii and 2 one pluses and i love this phone with the right software. hardware wise i even favour it over my beloved nexus 5 which is so handy and works like a charm.

so don't get me wrong, i'm not seeking dispute, i'm really interested to learn what others have to say about this phone hardware wise, because since we're on one of the better roms i've seen over the years we can only talk hardware while i think the fact the O2OS is a fail is somehow commonly agreed upon, at least to the point that this phone would be a total fail if we were depending on O2OS only.

hope you understand that this is genuine interest and that you can provide an interesting point of view

There's also no need to use boeffla in terms of battery life or performance. Best kernel is stock.

Gesendet von meinem ONE A2003 mit Tapatalk
My best experience on this ROM was with boeffla, but not the latest. It all depends mostly on usage and what one prefers for his ROM.
But the stock is def a good one too, just I liked boeffla with Exodus more, makes it a bit more snappier

So, tomorrow is Friday!
You know what that means?
Exactly! New build incoming.

Highlights:
- basic perf improvements
- (hopefully) massive battery improvements (cpu boost (touch boost) is now disabled)
- brand new wifi config, should bring stability to everyone, resolve all issues and save power
- Full version of the gps fix, hopefully resolves the issues and makes it a little faster.
- updates to the wifi driver
- minor audio fix
- Doze optimization -> less drain over night :)
- updated H-Cube driver
- background apps limit (auto)
- Fixed Firmware Flashing process (hopefully people from oos3 can now flash this directly)
- simplified Firmware flashing message while install.
- other minor fixes

Please be sure to report any issues :)

I am already preparing new stuff for Monday.

Good day all and have fun!

Alex

Does this rom work with Boeffla Kernel and if so, is the battery better using Boeffla?
yes it works and forget that kernel/battery thingy. while each piece of software can destroy battery life, the kernel when setup properly without significant downsides and/or side-effects has little impact on overall battery life. read the following, it has been written by one of the two most renown kernel makers for many years and other similarly renown devs like for example "the lord" fully agree to that.

yeah media storage is what i meant. for your call problem you could try to turn off lte and use just 3g instead. just an idea. maybe lte signal is too weak or just over used where 3g still is good. how's the mic quality on calls over wifi with whatsapp, skype or whatever?
@ghbuur - Thank You! For getting me pointed in the right direction. Reflashed the latest nightly and radio/fw and went to go try out 3g only to see. And realized enhanced LTE is on by default, which does not play well with TMO here. I don't think 12 is fully implemented here yet, or volte isn't, or both. But turning it off seems to have fixed the audio issue! Ftr it was people couldn't hear me, I could hear them fine, on strong LTE signal, but a carrier/region without fully implemented band 12 or volte, or both I guess. In case anyone else runs into it. And again ftr, I think this ROM is great, I don't like my op2 so much, and I didn't mean to tick anyone off. Enhanced LTE being active by default, IMO, is not a problem. Just something to note in pocket cases like this.

I really didn't mean to whine or be a pain, I thought the disappointment with the op2 over the opo was pretty universal. And I didn't mean to imply ROM problems, on the contrary, I was trying to biatch about the phone not the ROM or support of it, so I apologize for being a tool.

Re: the op2
I find the build quality poor. I dislike the back material, it's just dirty now. Handfeel is cheap compared to the opo in my opi.
I personally do not like the fingerprint scanner at all. I find zero use for it, it's ugly, and looks/feels like a 2 year old home button design. I realize people like the security of a fingerprint lock, I think it's a hoakey gimmicky thing that wrecks the design of the device. Obviously that is a hugely subjective thing, and I could have judged it from the picture of the phone before buying it. It's a 'living with it' thing. After living with it, what I thought might be a feature/design I would grow to love just didn't work for me. Notification slider, sort of the same. Looked good on paper, and in design actually, but is in practice completely useless to me. It's a waste of space on the chassis in my opinion. I never touch it, have no reason to as it has such extremely limited application. Would trade it for NFC in a heartbeat. I didn't think NFC mattered, now I wish I had it. Yes buyer beware, but it's another misstep, in my opinion only. I find the screen to be OK. Not bad, but of the phones I have here to look at the S6 edge looks better, the Moto G looks better, the G4 looks better. It's also pretty subjective.
I'm not impressed with the camera at all. Again, not horrible, just middle of the road - and the flash let's be honest kind of sucks.
I expected a noticeable step up in performance from the G3, OPO, or S5 and just haven't seen it. Again, it's just OK. Maybe that was unrealistic expectations but that's been my experience.
Take all of that and view it through having to run oxygen on this out of the box and it compounds the issues.
I was blown away by the One, and disappointed by the Two. I really don't think I'm 100% alone on that.

ok, thanks for your feedback :) interesting because most people who see the device say, whow, what's that and i thought that it's commonly agreed upon that it's a well built beauty but as it seems that's not as i thought :) no problem, personal preference cannot be discussed, it will always remain what it is, personal preference, while built quality can very well be measured and it's commonly know as very good. only remains to wish you luck to find the perfect for you, have a look at the "Mate 8"

little joke may be if you allow :) ? No not 100% but 99% hehe... just kidding might well be only 90% haha....

my impressisons on the latest build 20/5:

WiFi :
WiFi reception has improved so now device identifies 6-7 routers extra in my locality but WiFi struggles to connect even to router placed in the next room which is 5 meters away. this was not the case for 18/5 build. though there were WiFi drops occasionally earlier but the WiFi use to get connected instantly even at a distance of 9 meter including 2 walls in between.

response speed:
1. the devices feels little slow now. though not so noticable but the touch response has definately slowed down compared to last build.
2. the app opening speed has been improved for me compared to last build. so the tough speed can be neglected easily.

battery life:
I'll update the post later after 2 battery cycles.

hope this reviews helps the dev to clear up the issue for the next build.

no I just flashed the ota and cleared the caches. I'll try clean flash and update the previous post. tough I find the battery life have been improved significantly even by doing dirty flash.
Yup try clean flash.. I was having issues with WiFi and now they are not there.. For battery life didn't test yet as I did clean flash so I am restoring the phone...

@ zark0000 ; of course you can think what you want, BUT here is not the place to write such comments. Open a thread in general section.

@ TheCrazyLex ; Thank you for your work. Question on delta update ; Am I the only one to always get 1Gb update
