Kernel Installation Error

Hi seem to be having a problem with the kernel installation. I downloaded all the files from this forum for my samsung sgh-t889 and managed to install everything just fine except the kernel. I get the following error- Can't make /tmp/update_binary Installation aborted. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? Thanks

I am sorry for all the confusion. I finally got it to work but something strange and it has worked on previous roms and that is when i call my voicemail it says i have the wrong password. It is the correct password because like I said I have tried different roms and was fine. Any ideas? Thank you

Thank you. I just finished installing the update and now I have a new problem. And this happened with another rom not this one but when I call my voicemail it keeps telling me I have the wrong password. It worked fine before I updated. Any ideas?
I was just reading in a short article that cyanogenmods use short DTMF codes and maybe thats why its says I have the wrong password?

The Canadian variant devices seem to be having a voice mail bug that causes password loss and voice mail phone number loss also..

Lollipop is still very much a W.I.P. and I've also seen the issue reported in official CM as well by random users. ..

I dont have a good solution. ..but I have to believe that CM is working on a fix that will likely be merged in the near future. ..

That being said. ..it does not mean that the commit will find it's way to this variant. ..as cyanide rom is purpose built and tailored to work for the U.S. version of the note 2...

I'll keep searching for any new developments regarding the bug...and will post here if anything changes that will possibly help. ..g

Doing some final testing on next N2 build. I have the wifi nonsense working correctly with data, HOWEVER there IS a catch. To do this I had to go back to the old Ril, which in itself is not an issue, however when you first boot up it WILL take a minute OR two before you ever get service. Many many many test have proven the new Ril IS the issue with the dropping service but also improves the signal in other ways so it's a tough spot. Once service kicks in tho it is absolutely ROCK SOLID, just takes that extra time initially but not ONE drop in 2 days now and I am on wifi at home or work 90% of the time so it's gotten a lot of testing

Did you fix the issue where cell service will drop after a phone call? I know that was one of the biggest problems with the old RIL.

Have a good one!

I'll have to test, still have to add new GPS into old ril. Even so I'd rather have that any day than MTT service cutting out constantly I if I'm connected to WiFi, I'm smashing through data just to not lose service and that's a nuisance lol

On the new build I lost call sound unless on speakerphone. Flashed back to kernel 5.2 fixed it.

In setting, thing show the wrong thing very often. In popup dialog it should say yes or no but it will have two weird choices. The wording is consistently messed up on the accounts sync page. Please assist
Getting this same bug, kinda feels like somebody swapped a word filter in haha. Instead of WiFi off, it will say enter administrator pin. Very smooth ROM though l, appreciate your hard work!
