I instaled Banks Dynamic Gapps from the first post. The package is about 343 MB and the only app which is installed is just the PlayStore and Google Search? Is that right or did something went wrong? No GMail, no maps etc?

Edit: I know that it is no problem to install them via Play Store, I'm just wondering about package size an installed apps.

With minimal gapps it works with no problem.
The only bug i´ve found is on bluetooth.
When you try to enable it, the device dont connect until you open the BT settings page. The widget dont work.
It is disabled after a reboot/power off the device.
Thanks for the rom. It works perfect on my tilapia despite the BT problem (I use it a lot on my car headset)

Is anyone else experiencing terrible performance when battery drops below 30%? I heard that the hotplug that Nvidia uses isn't a good solution and basically switches off all but one core.
Have altered your kernel in any way?
With CM13 I don't experience this but I don't like CM13. This leads me to my next question : what custom kernels are compatible with this ROM? Also finaly are we able to disable hotplug in with your kernel?

is it possible to activate tethering?
the adb command "settings put global tether_dun_required 0" was not successfull

Hi, i found this solution for tether.

Hi alexloz,

this solution was not possible with this rom.
Maybe vocoderism can make tethering possible with the next release?

Linux Deploy

The installation of Ubuntu 16.04 on tilapia via Linux Deploy makes this error: VNC :)5900) ... FATAL: kernel too old
Is it possible to update the kernel?

@vocoderism:
I built a new version (tilapia) with the latest security patches (august) and was able to flash it. The device did start, but then I got different errors, depending on when and how I did install GApps (I used the ones that are linked in the first post as well as the most recent ones which I found on the website). Either it was an error from Setup Wizard or an FC of Gmail or an FC of Google Play Services.

Did you make any changes on top of the ones that Dmitry suggested in his tutorial? Do you have a list of changes you made? Can you provide such a list or the files you changed (I would diff them myself then)? Or is there something else I can do to make my build work? BTW: I flashed my build with the most recent version of TWRP and did wipe cache and dalvik (no factory reset).

Thanks for helping!

OK,
I was able to install and it is running, although i constantly have Google Play Service FC.
I think i saw on the Grouper Thread a way to correct the permissions of Google Play Services, right ?
I need to dig/search on this

EDIT :
1) found on the grouper thread - "For all of you who have issues that Google Play Services is force closing: Go to settings - Apps - Google Play Services and give it all permissions it needs. That will fix the problem"

2) on every boot after unlock device always get "settings stopped". I need to push the button "start again" and then it works.
