First I would like to thanks vocoderism for the great job for the nexus 4 comunity. I just installed the two last releases, first I installed the regular room (clean install) and now I did a dirty install of the rro version. The regular version is very fast and I would not finf any bugs. On the other hand, the rro version seems little slow and I cannot open the layers manager. When I try to open it I got stucked in a white screen. I tried to update the layer manager bit the problemas continue. Have u experienced these problems? Thanks

This ROM is almost perfect, the battery is better than Lollipop, I hope that you can fix 4g bug and that you can remove the USB debugging in the first boot.

Anybody experiencing SOD's on this? Had that issue with CM13 lately.

So far so good with this one.

Got a very weird bug today \o/
Trying to use Spotify on bluetooth speakers and from time to time it's like the phone enters airplane mode, wifi dropped and bluetooth unpaired. Reconnected everything and after a wile, down again. On the third time I just gave up :p

Now that I got it, I'm noticing wifi is also dropping during games that depend on internet.

Hi all,
this seems promising, as my Nexus 4 running stock Android 5.1.1 is getting more and more vulnerable every day since it had its last update. Good work Dmitry Grinberg, vocoderism et al.

Pardon a n00bish question, but can I install this rom without a Windows PC or do I need one to be able to do it?

You'll need a PC at first because you'll need to unlock your device and flash a recovery, twrp, at the very least, but after that you can just flash from the recovery on your phone.

By PC I mean any Windows/Mac or Linux box that can run adb and friends.

Aha... i've tried to access my Android devices from my Mac, but no such luck. I wonder what i'm doing wrong, I remember installing a multitude of stuff from Google to make it work.

Another question: I do not need to root the phone to be able to install this rom? Or is the rom rooted by default?

Download the android sdk installer, and then from that all you need to install is the platform tools package IIRC, you can ignore everything else, then the platforms tools will be in the sdk folder, adb, fastoot etc.

I believe the USB driver is a selectable option too in the sdk installer, but I can't remember it's been so long.

As for root I'm not sure I don't use any root.

I am using the last release of the regular room for a week and just find problem in GPS, that is very unstable here in my area, loosing the conection. I also had I small problem when I installed the room, the apps were not automatically reinstalled. I set the google account in the first initialization but it didnt show the option to select the apps to recover. The previous release had the option to recover the previously installed apps using the google account. Did I do something wrong or this option is not availible in this release? Thanks.

Hey there I just want to say this is the best rom I have used for my n4. Coming from cyanogen mod which I think has too much bloat ware now this is just pure ;). Anyways the one feature that is not working for me is Bluetooth tethering with my Nexus 5x. It I tried it from my n5x to n4 and it keeps showing pair with device like there now adding each other and I did it the other way around which is from n4 to nexus 5x and same thing. Anyways I tried my girlfriend's phone (Nexus 5) and it works perfectly both ways. I forgot to say this worked with my 5x when I used the latest cyanogen mod so idk if it's some kernel or what idk:). The nexus 5 and 4 have the same Bluetooth 4.0 while the nexus 5x have 4.2 so I was wondering it that could be the problem. Btw my Nexus 5x and my girlfriend's nexus 5 have stock Android. Hope you can help me because I use the Bluetooth tethering feature everyday I'm at work because it uses less battery than wifi hotspot

@vocoderism is there any up to date github where we can follow development? All the github links in OP showing October as last commit. It'd be interesting to see the N4 related changes against AOSP.

Worked like Charm! Thank you

Hi,

Thank you @vocoderism

I first tried to upgrade to marshmallow using Mr.Grinberg's .imgs. There was a trouble with GApps.

I installed ROMs provided by you (Of course this included Mr.Grinberg's .imgs also). Now my Nexus4 is upgraded to 6.0.1 . Thank you.

But, Video is not working through camera. Video can be taken but is not saved anywhere.

Secondly, in my phone, soft navigation keys were unresponsive even before flashing ROM.
I came to know that it can be done using update provided by gkraynov. It's available in Github. I cannot post outside link, as I am new this forum. But that is available only up to Nexus4 with 5.1.1.

Now, I have already upgraded to ROM provided in this thread. I request is there is any workaround.

Nice, but cannot pair with Wear 1.6

Hi there,

Nice ROM - simple and very plain (which I like).

One major deficiency (for me at least) is that it cannot pair with Wear 1.6 (MM) on an LG G Watch R. Other AOSP ROMs seem to have the same problem, while CM ROMs do not. Perhaps it's a kernel issue? Anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks.

The rom is fantastic but I've a problem to run "INFINTY" and "SKY GO" which say that device is rooted.

But is device rooted or partially rooted ?
How to remove any rooting thing ?

Thanks

For those who don't know, you can skip the welcome setup on all android phones by taping top-right,bottom-right,bottom-left,top-left 2X corners in that order, you have to do it 2 times and the setup will be skipped so you can do it later

Move Google App to system and Now on Tap will start working

If anyone wants to test those, they include Google App (with working Now on Tap) and Google Now Launcher: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347835251
