It blows my mind someone would choose to run LP over MM

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Because, I am not really an appreciator of Force closes that I am receiving with most of my useful apps after Installing xposed framework in MM.

But you can stick to MM as you do not use xposed a lot. I have more than 25 modules running of Xposed. So even if one of them cracks down, I settle back to previous version. And yes for your sake, MM is a pair of dry cleaned clothes over Lollipop only. So if you think those who are using MM are going to see the future soon, then you probably are worked on... :p

MM is much more than just a pair of clean clothes.

Yes, obviously you can expect issues with xposed. Its not made for custom ROMs, let alone is known to cause issues in general.

Does anyone have a link to the latest official 5.1 build? I tried upgrading to 6.0 but wasn't not able to get it to run stable. I tried using the 5.1 image that was posted a few pages back and was also having issues with it running stable. If anyone would be able to post an official 5.1 build I would really appreciate it. I have restored my 5.1 backup but would like to do a fresh install since its been a few months since I flashed a rom.

I don't have these anymore.

Like I said before, it's crazy people would downgrade to 5.1

I literally tried for 12 hours today with different combinations of gapps, kernels, supersu packages, most of the time I was never able to get past the set up. It kept having issues with google play services crashing. Then the one time I was able to get everything to install, after rebooting, systemui started crashing repeatedly. Don't get me wrong, I love Euphoria, and would love to upgrade to 6.0 and give it a try, as it is much faster than 5.1, but I just can't get it to work. Do you have a proven procedure and set of zips that will get this up and running stable?

I've tried, benzo gapps, purenexus gapps, open gapps, cm13 gapps, and one other. I've also tried the kernel posted in the OP and the last 2 versions of SuperSU. No combination of these worked successfully on my phone.

Since euphoria isn't being developed right now, I'd suggest coming over to screwd. I just push an update today with cmte. Its rock solid and completely updated. I would suggest banks gapps.

I did not realize Euphoria was not being developed right now. Like I said its been several months since I've flashed a rom on my phone since Euphoria was running so smooth. I appreciate the quick replies. I will give Screwd a try and see how it goes.

Hangs at boot logo

I'm having some trouble installing the newest version of Euphoria ROM. Last version I used was 1.1 and loved it.

I cleaned my system completely by using fastboot and installed Factory Default Image 6.0.1 (MMB29S) from scratch. Phone booted up no problem.

I installed TWRP (twrp-2.8.7.1-shamu) recovery back on via fastboot and it functions properly.

Installed in order: eos-shamu-6.0-11-10-2015-1631-permissive, Euphoria-OS-2.0-shamu-OFFICIAL-20151014, open_gapps-arm-6.0-stock-20151203, UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46

The phone boots, shows the Marshmallow logo and keeps looping the logo forever. The phone doesn't reboot, merely loop the logo endlessly. I did a full wipe from scratch a second time and got the exact same result.

Any suggestions what to try next?

Thanks

If I were you, i'd just move on to Switch'd as mentioned above. Euphoria isn't currently being worked on.

I am not responsible for bricked devices,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    A lot.[/CENTER]

    Please note the following:
Sound and video play back work flawlessly.
Kernel does not force encryption and will format all data if you flash on top of a forced encryption kernel. This means you must backup all internal and SD storage onto a PC. It will wipe data, downloads, pictures, everything!

    Report Bugs Here!

    Installation instructions

Installing Euphoria-OS for the first time, or coming from another ROM:
    - Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery/Team Win Recovery Project - WITH SELINUX SUPPORT!
    - Copy GApps, Kernel, SuperSU, and ROM ZIP to your SDCard
    - If you are running an encrypted kernel, your data will be encrypted on first boot
    - If you are running an unencrypted kernel, your data will remain unencrypted
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Be sure you're on the latest bootloader and radio for M
    - DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
    - Flash Euphoria-OS zip from SDCard
    - Flash GApps zip from SDCard
-If you want root you will need to flash a permissive kernel, then flash SuperSu
    - Reboot
    - Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!

    Upgrading from an earlier version:
    - Copy the ROM ZIP to your SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Flash the ROM zip from SDCard
    - Reboot

    Frequently Asked Questions:

**How do I upgrade to 5.1**

    - If you are coming from any 5.0.x ROM, or 5.1 other than Euphoria, it is suggested that you flash the latest radio and bootloader.
    - If you are coming from Euphoria 5.1 you can dirty flash, if coming from ANYTHING else you must clean flash.
    1. Download euphoria 5.1, a 5.1 set of gapps, and any radio or bootloader
    2. Reboot into recovery
    3. Wipe data
    4. Flash radio and bootloader
    6. Flash ROM and gapps
    5. Reboot

    ** I have terrible battery **

Check your device for wake locks, if it's Google services then:
    1. Disable keep awake and wake up in privacy gaurd.
    2. In disable service app, disable the usual configfetchservice and configservice. Leave system update service enabled

** I have no voice on calls **

Please update to the latest appropriate radio

    ** I can't use Google Now Launcher **

Seems there's a bug with compatibility with banks gapps, use another for now

    ** I can't install any cm12 themes **

You probably flashed a kernel that breaks theme compatibility. Please use the included or a supported kernel, or ask your kernel dev to update his ramdisk

    ** I have problem XXX **

Can you replicate it after a clean flash? Honestly, most bugs that you are experiencing come from dirty flashing, or user configuration.

Alright guys, new build pushed to the site. Changelog is available in the 2nd post. I'll summarize it here after church. You can find all of these links in your OTACenter app too.

Franco hotplug is now replaced with blu_plug from Code Blue. It runs really well. I'll post my settings later as well. I'd suggest using THIS app, Kernel Adiutor, to tweak things. It's awesome, show the developer some love! @Grarak

On a side note, the TOP thanked post in this thread only has 20 thanks, that's a bit low. For 950 downloads on last build. Let's see how high we can get this one :)

    Thanks guys! Enjoy!

Edit. Sorry guys I'll fix the in app changelog after church. For now use this http://fs1.androidfilesharing.com/ota/

Hey guys. I've setup my build box to automate nightly builds. I will be moving them to the main site tonight. For now you can get them at the link at the end of this post.

Is this something you guys are interested in? Trying to decide if its worth the effort to keep it going. If people will actually use it, I will.

As of right now, this will not work with our ota app, I'll look into support later for that. I will also keep on my normal stable releases like I've been doing. Although the nightlies should be very stable.

If you would use this, please thank this post so I can get a gauge for numbers.

    New Build

Hey guys, there's a new build up for the getting.

    Not too many changes.

    Few bug fixes

But there are pretty major kernel changes.

We are no longer using mako hotplug in the hells kernel, it's now zendecision. Works very well, very good on battery, give it a shot!

    Download

    Changelog is in normal location

    Thanks guys!
