Is there ANY way I can stop the damn clock from freezing?! It's really become a nuisance. It is frozen at least 90% of the time.

Sorry guys a question about the hardware keyboard.

I am using 1.3.1 atm should be upgrading to the latest later today but this has been an issue for a while now. When I press the shift key it seems to act like a caps lock key in that I get all capitals. It doesn't auto switch back to lower case. The same happens with the fn key. Is this a feature that I can switch off or a bug? It's not a big problem, it's just that I am used to the way it was before.

Also blk_jack, I was wondering if you were going to add google now as an option in the installer. Don't mean to make more work for you, it'd just make the rom complete.

Also I just want to say again, thanks to all you dev's. The work you all do is brilliant. Keeping this phone running with the latest and greatest. Wow. Appreciated. I have no idea how you guys do it, blk_arts maybe ;) Again thanks.

The shift key in this ROM behaves like your desktop keyboard's shift key. If you want a single letter capitalized, hold the shift and the letter together. If you want CAPS LOCK mode, double press the shift key.

Thanks man, yup that's the way it was before. Doesn't seem to be happening now tho. Full wipe and reinstall methinks.

Hey thanks, but I believe you're looking for the mimicry thread. Also, that issue is due to a SwiftKey 3 bug that affects all hardware keyboard devices on ICS. Try another keyboard or SwiftKey X instead, if you have a great backup.

Go here to upvote the issue with SwiftKey: http://support.swiftkey.net/forums/...2-fn-key-into-lockmode-on-htc-desire-z-hardkb

Also to anybody who's curious, the new update of SwiftKey 3 today does not fix the aforementioned issue. Upvotes can't hurt I guess, even though it seems they've mostly gone ignored so far.

fn del (function delete) deletes the whole line

Hey everyone,

Sometimes, especially when I'm typing a smiley like ':)' I made a mistake and as fn button already presses, I touch the del button. The whole d*mn line disappears suddenly! A total hesitation :)

Is there a way to tweak it off to make it won't work?

Shortly; I need to disable the combination of fn+del.

Thank you guys.

Thank you guys.

So I looked into this yesterday & found out that some keyboards don't register fn+backspace at all (swiftkey x). That said, the fn+backspace (and shift+backspace) functionality is hardcoded into the framework. It's not a separate KEYCODE you can define in a keymap (like I originally thought), so if the keyboard you use happens to use the proper mappings then you're kinda stuck. I'm not sure which keyboards do/don't, but since you're reporting the issue yours definitely does.

Anyway I modified the framework to use longpress fn+backspace to delete the current line, rather than a single tap. If you happen to accidentally single tap fn+backspace it will just do a regular backspace. This won't be going into Andromadus Audacity for ICS, though. We're pretty much done with those builds until the JB alphas. However Mimicry is a branch of Anromadus Audacity and it will have this feature in version 1.3.3 (out tomorrow most likely).

It'll also probably be one of the "features" I add to JB (in the first alpha), so I'll try to reply here if that happens. Hope that helps!

Hey there,

so it seems I have a little problem and i don't know where it came from but I will try to describe.
Yesterday everything was working fine, so I started PocketCast to refresh my Podcasts and it tried to download a new one which had 1,6GB. The SDCard did not have enough space left so the download did not start.
Since then I had the download-symbol in the notification bar but i did not really care.
So, today i wanted to watch my photos with the galery App and none of the photos on the sd card showed up. Same in the Apollo Player, no Songs are shown. So I checked the SD Card and everything is there.
My next step was a complete wipe but this also did not help.

Anyone any idea?

TL;DR Download did not work, since then apps don't see any Media Files on SD Card

This issue is caused by ROM Manager.

Thanks for that. Upvoted and also posted a reminder in their launch forum post here. http://vip.swiftkey.net/index.php?/topic/4714-swiftkey-301-out-now/
Hopefully if enough people post about it, the matter will be fixed.

Is Last.fm scrobbling working for anyone? The official app doesn't pop up when Apollo is running, and the Simple Last.fm Scrobbler app doesn't even detect Apollo.

Should it be assumed then that the majority of development and testing efforts are happening on Jelly Bean now?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1605016

I tried out a hand full of builds over the past week and have decided that it's just too unstable for me to participate in testing on my primary device. Kinda wishing I had a second device in order to test out on that front.

With that being said, it sounded like some more work would be thrown into Andromadus Audacity in order to push out a "complete" stable build and be done with it before progressing on to Jelly Bean/CM10. Is that still the case? Thanks.

You are correct in assuming all development efforts are going towards JellyBean.

JellyBean is more stable than Audacity ever was, what builds did you try? always go with the latest one. If you don't want JB yet, try Mimicry: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1714187 It's Andromadus but with some extra stuff, far more regular maintainance.

It would be pointless to waste development efforts on finishing ICS now JB is in development, especially when we could instead have a JB build completed very soon.

    Andromadus Audacity Beta 5

We have come a long way since our first attempts back in November '11. I am proud to say we have finally hit beta. With hitting the new milestone we have added a new word to our ROM and that is Audacity. Why did we put Audacity in the name? Well the word Audacity means: boldness or daring, especially with confident or arrogant disregard for personal safety, conventional thought, or other restrictions. And that is exactly what we were when we took on the task of Ice Cream Sandwich for our HTC Vision/G2/Desire Z. We hope you enjoy our rom!

    What is This?
We present to you ICS built from source for your HTC Vision, G2, or Desire Z. This thread will also be used for all DEVing for ICS until we work out all the kinks with it.

    What Works?
    Radio ( Phone & Mobile Data, SMS/MMS )
    Touchscreen
    Wifi
    Bluetooth
    Physical Keyboard
    Audio
    Real Full HW Accel
    Screen Orientation
    GPS ( Kinda )
    USB - UMS
    Camera ( Kinda )
    Other Things

    What Doesn't?
    You Tell Me

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    Andromadus Alpha 13

As usual here you go...Dark can clean up shortly :D

    Andromadus Alpha 13 mini changelog.

I have been spending much of my free time on this recently and unless some things change after this release is out I will have to slow down a little as there is loads of work I need to do that I have been putting off to work on this. Would be that working on this paid then I could pay somebody to do the work I need to do and continue kanging away, That not being the case you'll all just have to be patient for a while instead :)

So many things have changed that I'm not going to list them all as you would still be reading them hours from now, if you're really that interested you can read the commit History on github, some of them might be slightly amusing even as there isn't a way to stop me committing stuff when drunk, which is a fair bit of the time!

Qcom OMX integrated - SD YouTube fixed, Netflix Fixed
CRT on/off animation fixed (on seems a little funky but hey....)
    Custom LED notifications
Switched to Cyanogenmod Volume Wake and Volume music control (old toggles removed)
    Fixed the Flashlight power widget
Integrated CM's signal settings (6 bar toggle still works if you have icon's selected)
    Lots of Qcom media/display updates.
Switched to using Lord Clockan's kernel, I like it.
Camera updates (is it just me being lucky or do most of the artifacts on pics at 5MP go away after you take a few pictures?)
Loads of other stuff CM changed/fixed/added along the way.
Goo manager included (dark made me do it...)
So much more that I can't remember!
    Tweaks included!

Use whatever gapps you like but I'm still using v11 quite happily!
If you have issues do a SUPERWIPE and REFLASH everything before clogging the thread up. REALLY!

    This is my final warning:

1.) Please stop "moderating" this thread. There is no need to have people posting the same warning every few comments. IE "Use the thanks button" - Obviously they are not listening, and it is just as un-useful as the posts saying thank you.

2.) If your post starts with "this will probably get me in trouble but..." DO NOT F***ing post it!

3.) Read the OP and report bugs in the bug tracker...this is still a development thread, let them do their thing.

4.) NEVER should you be rushing them to get to work. Remember, they do this on there own time, and for free. If you want it faster, learn to do it yourself.

5.) If your post is not going to aid in the development DO NOT POST!!!!

On a last note: I will no longer be issuing warnings. I will be issuing infractions.

    Changelog:
Updated to Qcom's ICS Adreno libs
Updated patches for a few things from CM, profiles etc,
Whatever else CM has changed in the mean time.
And obviously everything else I forgot about.
Camera works with a few "issues"
There are 2 5MP options the first one produces complete garbage, the second works find apart from a small line across the bottom, sometimes it's there sometimes's it's green, sometimes it's pink, occasionally it goes away until the next reboot when it's back again.....
Camcorder - yes it works only at one res at the moment though 720x480
    Panorama works also.
Had another go at fixing usb tethering as well...
Other bug fixes and patches not mentioned here.

So here we are again, as I mentioned I'm rather busy so this could have been out days ago if I had the time. Whoever decided that decorating half a house at once was a good idea is clearly insane! oh wait....

    What's changed?

Updated to Qcom's ICS Adreno libs
Updated patches for a few things from CM, profiles etc,

I think that's us "Feature Complete"

Which means......naa I leave that for dark :)
