I have tried every single step. The nexus is just stuck at the Google with the bootloader unlocked signed. It restarts on it own and gets stuck at the Google image.

I have a message saying bootloader need to be locked to check for corruption etc is this an issue or normal ?

Normal. Please list your initial steps precisely so that we can start to try helping you.

FLashed stock Nexus 7.1.2 image (didnt manage to get it to boot)
flashed twrp
Then i wiped data etc flashed vendor.img and pure nexus rom
still stuck at the Google bootloop.

Important : Whole reason i am in this trouble is because of the bootloop issue nexus processors are having. I was lucky i somehow manage to boot up the phone and unlock the bootloader.

Ok, so this thread I think, is familiar to you?

At least you can possibly get back to booting stock ROM. I'm not sure if that boot.img can be used to boot PN. Somebody else know?

I don't think so, but anything's possible if you don't tell the exact steps you take every time you try to fix it :) otherwise this is just a guessing game.

So
1) flash the stock 7.1.2 from Google 6P images stash.

2) See this guide, part 10

3) flash the modified boot.img (7.1.2, check that the versions match between firmware, vendor and boot.img) from above-mentioned post.

If the device does not boot, I'm out of answers unfortunately.

How do you remove the pin code? I didn't see an option for this under Security.
How hard did you look?

@ratta77
Sounds similar to what happened to me as well. Wouldnt let me boot into system, recovery. Only to bootloader, when I rebooted, stuck at Google. So it would constantly get stuck at Google logo, wouldn't allow me to flash anything Even when trying to hook it to PC and use fastboot. Trying everything possible you could think of. Allowed me to do nothing i tried. So I Sent it to Huawei because It was just inside of year, they repaired it, sent it back, said it was the mother board and that they replaced it. This was my experience, and it was indeed the motherboard

Good luck

Getting back to complete stock Oreo w/TWRP, Magisk+root & Elemental X kernel:

Prerequisites:

Steps to wipe and install:
  1. Extract angler-opr5.170623.011-factory-0e60ceb6.zip and also the image-angler-opr5.170623.011.zip that's inside of it.
  2. Reboot to bootloader
  3. fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-angler-angler-03.77.img
    This flashes the latest bootloader
  4. fastboot reboot-bootloader
Reboot back into the updated bootloader
  5. fastboot flash radio radio-angler-angler-03.84.img
This flashes the latest cellphone radios
  6. fastboot reboot-bootloader
Probably don't actually need to reboot, again, but people always do
  7. fastboot format cache
We're going back to stock, so let's obliterate anything in your cache
  8. fastboot format userdata
This completely wipes all your data and removes encryption from this phone. You'll have an off-the-shelf stock phone after this
  9. fastboot flash boot boot.img
    Flash the stock kernel
  10. fastboot flash system system.img
    Flash the stock Oreo OS
  11. fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
    Flash the carrier-specific stuff
  12. fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-angler.img
    Flash TWRP recovery
  13. Reboot to Recovery
If you don't reboot to recovery at this step, the stock OS will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery, so you'd have to re-flash TWRP, again. A custom kernel (ElementalX) and/or root (Magisk) will stop this behavior.
  14. adb push ElementalX-N6P-5.06.zip /sdcard
Transfer ElementalX kernel to your phone
  15. adb push Magisk-v14.0.zip /sdcard
    Transfer Magisk to your phone
  16. TWRP install ElementalX Kernel and Magisk
Install ElementalX Kernel first, before installing Magisk
  17. Wipe cache/dalvik
    Why not?
  18. Reboot System
You should boot up an unlocked, unencrypted, completely stock Oreo w/Magisk, ElementalX kernel, and TWRP. Android will ask you to re-encrypt the phone (Secure Start-up) during the setup, which you can now do, if you want.

After going through the above steps I ended up in a TWRP bootloop (can't reboot to system). Any idea how to break out of this and get it to boot Oreo?

Quick question for those who have replaced their batteries. My phone shuts down anywhere from 35-40% - 15% yet when I check battery health in AccuBattery it shows as 88%. So my question is should I even bother trying to replace the battery? Thanks guys

Yes.
I'd take that battery health measurement with a grain of salt. You're having the battery issue that has plagued the 6p. New battery is relatively inexpensive (just kind of a pain to replace).

Yes, it's worth it. Had same symptoms and about 85% health. After battery replacement, was at 102% health and about 6 hours SOT on average. It has since started getting worse after 4 months, but still at 98%.

Thanks for your feedback guys. I have a ubreakifix close by so I'm going to have them do it, I don't have that much patience anymore lol. None of the newer phones really caught my eye and I'm a little underwhelmed with the pixel 2 xl so I figured maybe another year with the 6p wouldn't be so bad

It's not that hard to replace. If you've repaired a laptop or smartphone before, it's manageable.

I found it was actually accubattery that was causing the shutdowns, I had it installed and was constantly shutting down before it got to 20%. Uninstalled it and no more random shut downs. Guessing it was messing with the stats in a bad way.

Also replaced my battery 1-2 weeks ago, was squeamish but it was not bad at all. The only scary part was removing the glass camera cover.

Used a heat gun, guitar picks, and an old scalpel I had. I also used cut up aluminum strips from soda cans to slip under the camera cover glass and an old drivers license to squeeze under the battery.

Warning do not be too aggressive with the heat gun on the lower plastic cover sort of deformed mine but I use a case any way.

My Nexus 6p is like brand new and now I am extra careful with only charging it when I need to and not leaving it plugged in all the time.
It is working so well it made it easy to skip the pixel 2. Still hoping they introduce the SD card back to pixel phones.

Also I have not given up on Pure nexus and still willing to wait for update since everything is working well anyway.

Peace

Well after a bit of an absence while rebuilding the rom from scratch for 7.0 i am finally pleased to announce the return of PureNexus!!

    a couple things to note:
*not all mods from marshmallow will be in the first build so be patient as i add your favorite mods, etc!
*as of right now the rom only has substratum legacy support. will update to full blown substratum as the stability increases for N!
*changelog doesnt display anything for this first build as all changes are listed on github/xda op, changelog will be back next release!

New 7.0 Build with some more features, and some fixs, i am aware that 7.1.0 has dropped(pixel development branch) however it is not the final 7.1 and would be unstable as it stands right now(no kernel source, no gapps, etc). so i am going to stick with 7.0 until the final 7.1.1 source is live for stabilitys sake :)

Also i have taken over support of banks gapps and rebranded them as just "Dynamic Gapps" mini & full, mini is the traditional banks gapps, and full is purenexus gapps
