Are you flashing vendor to the vendor partition? And is it the corresponding image for the PN version?I am using cortex rom and decided to go back to pn 7.1.2. I wiped data, cache, system and all fhe good stuff and flashed the PN rom, beans gapps and vendor. I get an error saying that cannot flash vendor. And then then when i boot it to system. It doesn't go past the google screen. I flashed cortex back again and it works and all. I read that i should be able to flash a custom ROM if I do a clean wipe. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Ok, I'll try downloading the vendor image when i have my laptop with me so if something goes wrong during flashing i will be able to do something about it.Some people have reported problems with booting when the vendor is wrong. If you still have issues with booting after successfully flashing the correct vendor, you may need to try a full wipe (including internal) because sometimes those files left behind in internal can get it the way (remember to backup first). You could also try flashing to stock 7.1.2 before flashing TWRP, PN and GApps again, but hopefully this wouldn't be necessary.
Have a good one!
Well, I suppose if you glue a red heart to your pom-pom and pull out (or break) all the lights that aren't red, you will be ready for Valentines day. Maybe even pose the reindeer like they are mating (if they aren't already) with a sign that says "love is in the air".
This is completely OT but does anyone know how to get a (new or like new) Pixel 2 XL (128 GB preferably) for a good price AND with a good screen? I've tried Swappa but it seems like no seller wants to ship outside the US (which baffles me in 2018 and seems kinda silly to me...).
I'm also looking at Ebay but most auctions don't mention the screen at all and people don't seem to be aware of the problems. Any idea guys?
Unfortunately, Google doesn't sell Pixel phones where I live (France). And honestly, I'm not spending $1000+ on a phone, no matter how much I love Android. Not worth it.Directly from Google would be your best bet since you've tried Swappa and Ebay to no avail... I've also read somewhere that Google is offering financing with the monthly payments very similar to what the carriers are offering-- And purchasing through Google ensures that you will have the most important feature available to us- bootloader unlock...
