What created it it Is China using garbage components, which is the norm for them.
Lol, after seeing they backed off on how aggressive they let the battery charge on the Pixel 2 XL I just assumed they pushed the crappy battery too hard on the 6P.
I'm on a second battery and mine is still like new right now. I use it on FI and am still very happy with it. In some ways I like it better than my Taimen...
Hey guys. I know this is a super super old thread, but I checked to make sure that I wouldn't be the one grave-digging.
I've tried to install this rom for hours on end, and cannot get it to work. I've installed almost every other rom successfully. I've tried to flash everything back to stock (radio, bootloader, recover, vendor) and then try and install the rom, and it didn't work. I get to the boot animation and then it will just hang forever.
Are u gaming on your device??I'm still on my original batter and this is almost three years old. If the issue was anything other than hardware, the issue would be more consistent
Just asking bruh!
How do I update to 8.0 using this ROM? I just started using this phone again after a few years. Thanks.
I've been off my 6P for 2 years (development wise), but I don't believe this 7 Rom would be compatible with 8.
All is not lost though, as you can update your 6P to the latest 8x image (or 9x for that matter), root with magisk, and run a cust kernel (Like EX Kernel) and still have a really, really good device!
This is how my 6P is set up, although it is collecting dust ATM, and only gets charged every few months or so.
Thanks. I'm rooted with SuperSU. I have no clue how to update to the 8 image. Halp!

You should be able to follow the same process used to upgrade the 2 XL found in my sig (8x Upgrade Guide).
Of course you will need the CORRECT 6P files (TWRP, and fatory images, and custom kernel) since all those in the guide are for the 2 XL.
But the process should be the same.
No posts in 2 1/2 years! You should be ashamed.Looks like Pure Nexus update is inbound. Dynamic Gapps are updated and Beans said on G+ to get ready!
Another post notification for a pointless post - you should be ashamed too!
