I've clean installed to the latest version of this rom, and for some reason, all streamed videos (on youtube, facebook, etc) on my device gradually become unplayable until i restart the phone. Any fix for this?

Does anyone have any advice for this issue? I've clean flashed multiple times, updated bootloader, radio, etc.

I've also noticed that most of my notification sounds stop working at the same time my streaming videos do.

The ONLY and BEST advice I can give, is start from scratch, and follow the install guide (see FAQ under OP) and follow each step EXACTLY, make sure you get all the required files AS PER these instructions, and you will have success. I follow that same process EVERY time and never have issues that I didn't create myself (wrong file, wrong sequence, etc)

Try that (one more clean install won't kill ya) and let me know how it went. Follow the instructions EXACTLY :D

Let the fresh install sit for a day BEFORE you add anything like XPOSED, or substratum.

Good luck!

Here
You can be more respectful and humble.
If you find it is time consuming.....develop your own ROM and start a thread/share it with others
Stop whining over something which you cant do

ALL MEMBERS,
If you can cook a ROM and do it within a short time....please go ahead and do it
Dont keep complaining....it is made when the DEV makes it and releases....
if you are not happy with the time period........go get the books, read and develop

But I would be rusty :( lol I haven't built a ROM since the HTC Rezound. But I been wanting to get back into it at some point. Jaeger was a fast and very battery efficient ROM built off Sense base but was completely gutted. Would rebuild the ROM 5-10 times a day just testing things to make it better and sometimes breaking it.

That's what people don't understand about developing Roms or anything. 1 adjustment can screw that entire ROM up and then have to start over. Learn to always keep back up after every build that works just so you don't have to start from scratch, but you're also trying to create the best ROM you can so of course you're always messing around under the hood to make it better. Every time a New version of Android would come out you have to play the Trial and Error game trying to see what works and what doesn't and trying to figure out how to get it to work equal to the last version at least. Sometimes you have to rebuild parts of the ROM again on the new APKs.

That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to developing Roms and it takes hours to days and sometimes a week or two and maybe even a month!depending on what's going in your personal life.

I am pretty sure that Accubattery doesn't actually read the battery health any better than What it gets from Android. And I believe we have sort of a Hardware/Software issue with the battery on the 6P that is causing the shutdown above true 0% which is anywhere from 10-20% range consistently for me.

I just did a clean image flash of the latest 7.1.1 build from Google, and it still shutdown at 12% on me, yet I can still boot into recovery and last a good bit longer before she truly runs dry.

That and my Mic issue for the Speakerphone (Mutes me to the other end) pushed me to go for a Google RMA before my first year is up. Hopefully the Refurb they send me is in Like New condition I guess. I am going to go over the replacement with a fine tooth comb before I send my baby back as outside of those two issues, the phone continues to be fantastic.

Also looking forward to a PN 7.1.1 as stock is quite nice, you find out you miss a few things rather quickly. No rush and all in due time of course.
I had the same issue with the mic cutting out. Only worked when speaker phone turned on. I RMA'd last week.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app

The N6 log issue doesn't work for our 6P's and I saw the same article. I've been researching this issue for weeks now.

I'd still contact Google support as they said they would even get me an exception if they needed too, (helpful guy) so there is always a chance since the device would only just be about a month out of warranty if so.

Also in a 2nd rundown test here at work, I was able to stream some YouTube video from 25% down to about 2% before it shutdown, so now I am back at a conundrum that it may possibly be a Software issue? Or with Power Saving on, it might not be drawing enough voltage that it forced a shutdown until the very end for once? Or I dono, more testing is needed, and I will be testing the absolute crap out of my refurb replacement as well as I am not letting go of my baby without knowing the replacement is better. (Speakerphone mic or not).
Google didn't do anything for me as they noticed I was out of warranty and directed me to Huawei who offered extra 3 months of warranty so I'm covered but I'll also be without a phone for 10 days while they "repair" the phone. Now I need to take off the skin that I just bought for 20 dollars ?

To those of you on magisk/phh superuser..when you update do you have to remove su completely first? I know it'll need to be redone after flashing the rom, but I remember chainfires superuser was causing the boot to hang if it wasn't removed prior to updating the rom. Just trying to be ready for 7.1

Is it just me, or does the sound adjustment through volume rocker not work as expected? In other Roms, I think even PureNexus 6.0, I would volume down to go to vibrate, or one more time for DND. Even with enabling DND via volume rocker under PureNexus settings it won't initiate it. Also when linking notification and ringtone I am not convinced that is working properly either. Seems no matter what the notification is full blast.
I'm an idiot. Had to make the default volume control ring not media. I wondered why the icon was always a musical note. Haha.

Never heard of that before and certainly have never done that either.

NOt really sure, I'd check magisk thread. HOwever, flashing the next update, I am going to do a clean install, suggest you do the same.
Using Magisk and phh I have android pay working although I suspect it has more to do with Capital one card I use for pay than Magisk. It was very different scheme adding that card than any other time I have used AP.
Cheers

I'd leave the skin on if it doesn't cover the glass and lower cover. If they are repairing it, you should get your original device back so instead of just making the skin useless, you could chance them just working around it.

Or if the skin has a warranty, you could just get it replaced once the phones back I guess.

That is what I plan to find out.

Using the Refurb they send me, I plan to flash both stock 7.1.1 and whatever the latest PN is at that time, and thoroughly test the shutdown level. Hopefully only 3-4 times but enough to see if it is more like 1-2% or so like it should, or if it is also like 10%+ ..

If that is the case, then something else is borked or they aren't even swapping in fresh batteries in the Refurbs, but I hope that isn't the case.

I'm still with MM and Franco kernel... I didn't change anything in my system/configuration... but the phone started shut down al 10-205 of battery, so I'm pretty sure isn't an android version problem...

You sure can, as long as you've reinstalled TWRP. It will restore your setup as you had it when you did the backup (kernel, mods, apps, settings etc.) as long as you backed up / restore everything. (boot (kernel) system and data)

Hey ho,

I'm on the latest release. After some hours of uptime, the headset button isn't able to control playback functions like start or stop, the voice command handler is popping up.
Is there any chance to disable this feature?

Edit: The volume rocker music control stops working at the same time. Disable and enable it does not work.

Are you using substratum? Have you had SystemUI crashes? Have had the same issue in the past, when theme crashes SystemUI, headset can bork along with touchscreen. Reboot fixes.

That sounds sort of like what happens when I have a weird BT glitch causing the phone to do a SoftReboot.

Also as unlikely as the battery issue should be, after being on 7.1.1 official (bone stock outside of TWRP and SuperSU now) I finally was able to watch it drain from about 80% down to 1% running the Mountain game/app, and finally shut down properly at 0%. Yesterday it made it to 2% before it did that.

Soooooo yea....

    a couple things to note:
*not all mods from marshmallow will be in the first build so be patient as i add your favorite mods, etc!
*as of right now the rom only has substratum legacy support. will update to full blown substratum as the stability increases for N!
*changelog doesnt display anything for this first build as all changes are listed on github/xda op, changelog will be back next release!

New 7.0 Build with some more features, and some fixs, i am aware that 7.1.0 has dropped(pixel development branch) however it is not the final 7.1 and would be unstable as it stands right now(no kernel source, no gapps, etc). so i am going to stick with 7.0 until the final 7.1.1 source is live for stabilitys sake :)

Also i have taken over support of banks gapps and rebranded them as just "Dynamic Gapps" mini & full, mini is the traditional banks gapps, and full is purenexus gapps
