I have a quick question about Android Oreo. I saw a post at the beginning of the thread somewhere about having to revert back to stock Android, installing O and then reinstalling PN. Now that there are images out for the Nexus 6P, which is what I have, should I do this, install O and then back to PN or should I wait for PN to get to O.

thanks,
john
What is being implied is this ROM is built for Nougat not Oreo so if you are running Oreo then you will need to install the latest stock Nougat and do a factory wipe then install the Pure Nexus ROM.

simple advise, wait for PN to have O, if it's burning inside you, flash O. It's not a prerequisite. Happy flashing

Of course I want to see what O is all about :) But really don't expect any great changes, think I'll just wait. Pretty happy right now with PN.

Thanks,

john

So this IS actual policy. With respect, I've dealt with people with this crime and punishment arrogance before. I certainly won't be using Pure Nexus any longer. Nice software as it is, but I can't support this mentality. I think it's time to go stock again. Peace.

You're more than welcome to share the ROM you've been working on in another thread and allow users to ask you for ETA's on updates.

Wow, screwed that up didn't I.

I was wondering about the post about O being installed and you had to go back to stock etc before installing PN.

Sorry about all of that. Not normally that dumb.

Not a matter of being dumb, but of being impatient lol, Tapatalk is trash, and sometimes it really does post but makes it seem like it's hung. Then you press submit four times

I don't understand what the rush is about. Why would you want to sink your teeth into that original Oreo when it is plagued with Bluetooth issues right out of the box.
I'm more than happy to wait for Beans to cook his own perfect Oreo cookies for us to enjoy. There's nothing wrong with his last batch of Nougat he baked :D

how do you guys eat Oreos? I prefer eating the whole thing, but some people like eating the cream first and then the cookies.

I eat it like you're supposed to eat any biscuit, not the cream first. I personally prefer the custard cream style Oreos to the the black original ones. I went off the originals when I was about 10 or so.

Which are those? I don't know if we have those in my country,

Some years ago they produced Oreos with a kind of strawberry pink cream and those were just horrible! I hope Android 8.0 isn't pink.

Has anyone had any issues with phone shutting off between 15-30% battery?

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Yes.

You need to search 'boot loop of death' in just about any 6P thread.

To find out how bad your issue is and what to do about it.

Well after a bit of an absence while rebuilding the rom from scratch for 7.0 i am finally pleased to announce the return of PureNexus!!

    a couple things to note:
*not all mods from marshmallow will be in the first build so be patient as i add your favorite mods, etc!
*as of right now the rom only has substratum legacy support. will update to full blown substratum as the stability increases for N!
*changelog doesnt display anything for this first build as all changes are listed on github/xda op, changelog will be back next release!

New 7.0 Build with some more features, and some fixs, i am aware that 7.1.0 has dropped(pixel development branch) however it is not the final 7.1 and would be unstable as it stands right now(no kernel source, no gapps, etc). so i am going to stick with 7.0 until the final 7.1.1 source is live for stabilitys sake :)

Also i have taken over support of banks gapps and rebranded them as just "Dynamic Gapps" mini & full, mini is the traditional banks gapps, and full is purenexus gapps
