Yes. No need to flash the secondary twrp.zip on the 6p. That's only for the P2XL

So I don't mind using fastboot.. feel fairly confident about the process..

My only concern left is can I use the downloads that mention "Softbank" ?

Seemed like I saw somewhere that has something to do with a Jap or Kor source or for those devices or something..

All the downloads are here: https://developers.google.com/android/images#angler

Can I use "8.1.0 (OPM5.171019.017, Mar 2018, Softbank)"

On a US N6P ?

I suppose if softbank is your carrier, that would be the thing to do. If it doesn't work, you could always fastboot the other one :good:

Your experience doesn't leave with the device or a change of OS. If you want to help, stick around and help.

Like others have already said, several users waiting on PN to get 8.0 have moved on to other devices but are still active in (or check in) the 6P PN thread, because, well that just how we roll :D

I'll linger but no lie it's like my 6P got pissed that I got a new phone and just died....

They know when ya cheatin' on 'em... They don't even like ya to look at others... Mine goes silent if I even look at an article about the 2XL or rumors about the 1+6... I think the only reason my 6P hasn't given up on me yet is because I keep promising it a shiny new battery...

Have a good one!

Though I suppose could be the big cores I'm leaning towards battery again. Even though you replaced the battery still can have issues. I went through couple replacements until I got a battery that would hold up. Fortunately my lemon batteries presented early on maybe yours just went down the road.

Thanks I grabbed a new battery and getting much better life, but then the phone freaked out and would not boot about 1 hour after finishing, so I applied the 4 core hack from the other thread. Looking now at grabbing a Pixel 2 but trying to hold out one more phone cycle hoping more phones have the new TMob band.

I was in PN for a year or so. Last week I decided to go stock 8.1 to see what's new. I am really missing PN and thinking to go back...
What is the implementation used for one handed mode?
That was one of my favorites in PN. Is it something I can try my self in 8.1 like the one handed mode app ? I tried that but it really sucks comparing to the PN implementation

Thanks
Mike

I'm on a Google store Pixel 2 XL since launch now and I still check in here.

Funny part is I have not unlock the bootloader, I have not rooted, and I'm really not missing much.

I'd say the only regularly used feature from my longtime rooting days that I'm missing is holding back to kill an app. I've got Center clock, I've got a substratum dark theme going that I love, get my updates on time every month, and I'm generally happy.

And for everyone that says they have to have root for ad blocking, I've been using adguard for the last two and a half years and couldn't be happier.

If substratum isn't able to be done on rootable when Android P comes out I will have to unlock the bootloader and start going that route again.
Im in exactly the same situation, other than i miss arise v4a.

Don't miss root or the unlocked boot loader at all.

There's some peace that comes with stock

Visiting 6P forum after a long time and it's really sad to see this great rom not being developed anymore. It was so much fun in development but looks like it has slowed down with time..
It's depressing but still anyways typing this message from my Galaxy S8

Can someone from Dev team answer this question please?

I found the one handed mode in PN very convenient and as far as I know there were 4-5 ROMs in 7.1 (ABC, Lineage, etc) with this feature.
Currently there is no ROM in 8.1 with such functionality ( I hope PN will be the first!!!)

What module/app/implementation used in PN for the one handed mode? Was it something 7.1 specific that cannot be done in 8.x?

Thank you
Mike

Wow! Maybe you should read the thread before stating it is not being developed anymore! That is a bit disrespectful to the issues the developer has been dealing with! Maybe it is not being released every month with security updates but the developer has not abandoned the project!

Well after a bit of an absence while rebuilding the rom from scratch for 7.0 i am finally pleased to announce the return of PureNexus!!

    a couple things to note:
*not all mods from marshmallow will be in the first build so be patient as i add your favorite mods, etc!
*as of right now the rom only has substratum legacy support. will update to full blown substratum as the stability increases for N!
*changelog doesnt display anything for this first build as all changes are listed on github/xda op, changelog will be back next release!

ok, Lets get to the goodies!!

New 7.0 Build with some more features, and some fixs, i am aware that 7.1.0 has dropped(pixel development branch) however it is not the final 7.1 and would be unstable as it stands right now(no kernel source, no gapps, etc). so i am going to stick with 7.0 until the final 7.1.1 source is live for stabilitys sake :)

Also i have taken over support of banks gapps and rebranded them as just "Dynamic Gapps" mini & full, mini is the traditional banks gapps, and full is purenexus gapps
